The American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) North Carolina Chapter is proud to bring together animal care professionals from across the state to support wildlife conservation through action, education, and community involvement.

Our chapter includes members from the Greensboro Science Center, North Carolina Zoo, Grandfather Mountain, and Rowan Wildlife Adventures, all working together to make a difference for wildlife both locally and globally.

This year, they are excited to host the inaugural Zoo Dash 5K: Race to Protect the Wild at the Greensboro Science Center on Saturday, May 30th! Participants will enjoy a unique race experience through Jaycee Park and the Greensboro Science Center's zoo, passing incredible animals along the course while helping raise funds for conservation.

Proceeds from the race will support wildlife conservation organizations and projects that protect species and habitats around the world. Every registration helps support the mission of conservation, education, and animal welfare that zoo professionals work toward every day.

Whether you are running, walking, volunteering, or cheering from the sidelines, thank you for supporting the keepers, animals, and conservation efforts that inspire us all!

Today, we had the opportunity to host a booth for Endangered Species Day at the Greensboro Science Center focused on tiger conservation and the incredible work being done through the Sumatran Ranger Project.
Amanda and I loved getting to talk with guests about Sumatran tigers, conservation efforts in the field, and the importance of supporting the people working directly alongside wildlife in Sumatra.
Thanks to the generosity of our guests and supporters, we were able to raise $160 for the Sumatran Ranger Project! Every dollar helps support conservation efforts and the rangers working to protect tigers and reduce human-wildlife conflict in local communities.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, asked questions, shared stories, and helped support tiger conservation. ❤️

We had a wonderful turnout for our conservation/education table on April 18th!

In total we raised $335 for Lemur Conservation Network! 🇲🇬

Special thanks to Oden Brewing Company for hosting us and donating a percent of sales from the saison. 🍻
