Happy New Year to our entire Stream Valley family! 2025 is quite the special year for us--we're celebrating our 25th anniversary as your neighborhood veterinary hospital! From humble beginnings to becoming a cornerstone of the community, our journey has been filled with love, care, and LOTS of wagging tails. We couldn't be more grateful to each and every one of you for being an integral part of our family.

As we reflect on the past quarter-century, we invite you to share your favorite or most impactful memories with us throughout the year. With the holiday season in full swing, we're excited to announce that we are hosting a donation drive for Homeless Animals Rescue Team (HART)! Now through December 31st, we're collecting the items listed on the attached flyer and more. You can also opt to purchase our in-house retail items as donations. Any and all contributions will be greatly appreciated.

*UPDATE REGARDING HILL'S FOOD DELIVERIES* Cross one more thing off your busy holiday to-do list! It is strongly advised to place your pet's next food order by this Wednesday, 12/18 to guarantee Thursday, 12/19 delivery. As our hospital will be operating with a shortened schedule for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve in addition to closures on Christmas and New Year's Day, orders for the following two weeks MUST be placed on Monday, 12/23 and 12/30, respectively. Dog of the Week is back: We're celebrating this week's special birthday boy, Brodie, who just turned 3 on Monday! Brodie's a very distinguished mini dachshund who loves his belly rubs, cuddles, and playing the day away with his friends. There's never a dull moment with this little guy's spunky, sweet personality and we absolutely love him for it!❤️

❤️‍🩹 When I went to the shelter to pick up the trap for B - I also decided to take a peak at the pups who are available for adoption. That is when I met Marshmallow. When I first saw this dog, I had to take a second & then a third look. This dog reminded me SO much of ACE that it was unreal!😮‍💨 Upon meeting him; I learned that he has been at the shelter waiting for the perfect home since JULY. That’s 138 days to be exact! AKA - TOO LONG. 💔 I am SHARING this with the HOPES that you too; WILL SHARE this post to help find him a home for the holidays!🎄 Marsh is available for ADOPTION at Loudoun County Animal Services! He is 9 years old & IS good with other calm dogs & older kids! (15+) 💚

As a Thanksgiving treat, some of our daycare and boarding dogs from the past week joined our holiday photoshoot to get in the spirit! Some may not have enjoyed the props as well as others...but we found a way to make it work.😆We hope you enjoy!

Don't forget to protect your pet during this busy holiday! Many traditional Thanksgiving dishes can harm pets, such as turkey bones (which can splinter), onions and garlic (toxic to cats and dogs), and fatty foods like gravy (which can cause pancreatitis). Desserts with chocolate or xylitol are especially dangerous. Instead, prepare pet-safe treats or offer plain, cooked turkey without seasoning. Always monitor your pets and consult a veterinarian if they consume something harmful to ensure a safe Thanksgiving for them.

Maggie and Frankie were our most recent Dogs of the Week! Everyone at Stream Valley loves having these two cuties around to enjoy their days at Doggie Daycare. Read on below to learn just how special they are:

First, meet Maggie, the prettiest golden gal with the floofiest butt! This 7-year-old Golden Retriever is another longtime daycare dog, as she's joined us regularly since she was a puppy in 2017. Maggie is an absolute sweetheart who radiates lots of sunshine, love, and positive energy. She loves playing with her friends, sunbathing, being pampered, and spending time with all the humans at SVVH. We can always count on Miss Maggie Moo to brighten everyone's day! ❤

Next we have Frankie, the most bubbly boy who LOVES to play! A new addition to our daycare crew, Frankie is a 6-month-old Cocker Spaniel who is often found bouncing around with the silliest puppy energy. Whether it's catching big air, running around the kennel yard with friends, climbing up the jungle gym, chasing the flirt pole or playing tug, there's never a dull moment with little Frankie! We look forward to the many memories that are to come with this sweet boy. ❤

Doggie Daycare is a great opportunity for your pups to make new friends, have fun throughout the day, and grow accustomed to visiting a veterinary hospital.
