🚨 Rabies is Closer Than You Think 🚨

In the past month, two skunks in our area have tested positive for rabies. This is a strong reminder of how important it is to keep your pets protected.

🐾 Why Rabies Vaccines Matter:
• Rabies is fatal once symptoms appear
• It spreads to humans through bites or saliva
• Wildlife like skunks, bats, and raccoons are common carriers
• Even indoor pets can be exposed

💉 It’s not just about your pet—it’s about public health.
Vaccinating your pet helps create a barrier that protects your family, veterinary staff, and the entire community from exposure. One unvaccinated pet can put many people and animals at risk.

✅ Stay protected:
• Keep vaccines current
• Avoid contact with wildlife
• Call us if your pet has any possible exposure

Let’s work together to keep our pets—and our community—safe 🐶🐱
Call us today to schedule your pet’s rabies vaccine!

Flea, tick and heartworm season is here!

Just a reminder that we MUST have a current yearly exam on file to establish and maintain a strong veterinarian-client-patient relationship.

We are UNABLE to sell any prescription products without an annual exam on board, including NexGard, Credelio Quattro, Bravecto, and Iverhart Max. This helps ensure your pet is healthy and receiving the safest, most effective protection possible.

Call us today to schedule your pet’s exam and keep them protected all season long!🐾💛

Heartworm disease is something we can’t see—but it can have serious, even life-threatening effects on your pet. 🐾❤️

Why do we test?
Pets can have heartworms for months (or longer) without showing any signs. Annual testing helps us catch infections early and keep your pet safe.

Why does it matter?
Heartworms live in the heart and lungs, causing damage that can lead to breathing issues, heart failure, and even death. Treatment can be tough, so prevention and early detection are so important.

How is it spread?
All it takes is one mosquito bite. 🦟 Mosquitoes carry tiny heartworm larvae from infected animals and pass them to others—meaning any pet, even indoor ones, can be at risk.

The good news:
Heartworm disease is preventable! Keeping up with yearly testing and prevention is the best way to protect your furry family members.

Give us a call to schedule your pet’s heartworm test today! 🐶🐱
