Whatever’s under that bush apparently requires a second opinion. 😂

Two dogs. Both heads completely buried. Neither one ready to discuss their findings.

Could be a rabbit trail. Could be one very suspicious leaf. Either way, we appreciate how seriously they’re taking the investigation.

Does your dog have a spot they HAVE to inspect every single time you walk past? 🐾

You’re halfway to work when your phone lights up. Your dog walker is sick and can’t make it today.

Now you’re mentally going through everyone you could ask. Your neighbor? Your sister? Could you leave work at lunch? And if you’re away on vacation, it’s an even worse feeling.

Of course people get sick. Cars break down. Family emergencies happen. But your pets still need care, and trying to arrange it from the office—or another state—is stressful.

That’s a big reason I’ve built Jen’s Happy Pets around a team of employees. If someone gets sick, they have people behind them who can step in. Our manager and I work behind the scenes to arrange coverage, communicate with our clients, and make sure the pets depending on us are cared for.

You shouldn’t have to start calling around after you’ve already arranged care. We take that commitment seriously. ❤️

And when something changes on your end—a longer workday, an unexpected trip, a delayed flight—having a team gives us more ways to help with those last-minute needs, too.

If you’ve ever been left scrambling, I want you to know how much thought goes into making sure our clients feel supported. You have enough on your plate. Let us handle this part.

It’s a beautiful fall day, and I bet your dog would love to spend part of it inspecting every leaf on your street. 🍂🐾

That stop at the same patch of grass that seems to take forever? There’s actually a lot happening in that little nose.

Dogs have more than 100 million scent receptors in their noses, compared with about 6 million in ours. Those receptors pick up smells and send information to the brain. So while we’re enjoying the fall colors, they’re investigating who passed by and all the interesting scents left behind.

That’s enrichment—giving their brain something to explore and work on. A walk with time to sniff provides mental stimulation along with exercise, and can help your dog come home feeling more settled and satisfied.

A backyard is wonderful for play and potty breaks, but heading beyond the fence gives them different places and smells to investigate. Even taking a different turn on your usual walk can give them something new to discover.

This is something I love about what our dog walkers can offer: time for dogs to get out, be curious, and enjoy being dogs. ❤️

If you’re heading out together today, leave a little extra time for the sniffing. That pile of leaves might be the most interesting part of their afternoon!

The look you get when you break the treat in half and act like you gave him a whole one. 👀

“Go ahead… show me what’s in your other hand.” 😂

Anybody else have a dog who keeps very close tabs on the treat situation?

You’re trying to get out the door, somebody can’t find their shoes, and the dog is standing there with a toy in his mouth. ❤️

You’d love to have a few minutes to play. But you’re already late.

Then somewhere between school drop-off and getting to work, you start counting the hours until someone will be home to let him out.

I think that’s something so many people can relate to. You love your dog. You want him to have a good day, too. But fitting everything in can be hard.

That’s where we can help at Jen’s Happy Pets. Our dog walkers can stop in for a walk, some yard play, a potty break, and time with someone who’s happy to see him.

So when a meeting runs over or school pickup takes longer than expected, you’ve got one less thing weighing on you. Your dog has had company and a chance to get outside.

If you’ve been trying to make it all work on your own, send us a message. Let’s talk about what would make your days a little easier.

Anybody else open the door for their dog this morning and get that look? 😂 Like somehow you’re responsible for the rain and should be able to turn it off?

I always feel for the dogs who really don’t want to get their feet wet. You know they have to go, but they’re standing there hoping you’ll try another door and find better weather.

Then there are the ones who happily come back soaked and want to dry themselves off on your couch.

Hope you and your pets are having a good Sunday, even if there’s a towel waiting by the door. ❤️

Fall yard cleanup goes a little differently when you have a dog. 🍂

You rake the leaves. They jump in them.
You pick up sticks. They need that particular stick back.
You stop to catch your breath. Clearly, you’re available to throw a ball now.

Meanwhile, the cat is watching from the window, wondering why everyone is working so hard on a Saturday. 😂

Anyone have a “helper” out in the yard this weekend? I’d love to see pictures!

“Sorry, I know I left you a lot of notes.” 💙

Please don’t apologize.

If your dog needs a minute to warm up to someone, your cat likes company while she eats, or you have a certain way of getting your older pup settled, we want to know.

You’ve learned those little things by loving them every day. Of course they matter when you’re trusting someone else to care for them.

That’s something I care about so much at Jen’s Happy Pets. Making sure my team has your instructions and understands what’s important to you, so you don’t have to spend your time away wondering if you should have mentioned one more thing.

Leave the notes. Tell us about their quirks. We want to hear them. 🐾

What’s one little thing about your pet that you’d want their sitter to know?

Just a little reminder of how my day started… 🐱😂

I had places to be and things to do, but apparently this belly wasn’t going to rub itself. 🤷‍♀️❤️
