Catsbury Park A 501(c)3 non-profit rescue and New Jerseys first cat cafe!
(1302)

We are a New Jersey 501(c) non-profit corporation with the goal of helping as many kittens and cats find loving homes through various channels. As many of you who followed us on social media might know, we started fostering out of our home in the summer of 2016 and were able to place 37 kittens with forever homes within our first 2 months. We also want to create a space where the public can learn

about cats, interact with them, and potentially take them home. We still hope to continue fostering kittens but Catsbury Park Tea House & Cat Lounge itself will focus on adult cats who, while available for adoption, are residents of the cafe and interact with customers. We also feel that Asbury Park, our favorite place, needs a tea lounge and have focused on providing high-end tea service to provide the best experience for those who come to spend time with our cats!

Let’s talk about DAFFY!

This petite lady has been with us for over 6 months. She came to us from another rescue, and when she first arrived we noticed she had some GI issues going on. After some trial and error, it turns out she had food sensitivities and after we switched her to a specialized diet, and Daffy’s GI issues resolved - phew! But…we still had work to do….we need to find her home!

We rarely know a cat’s story before they come to us, and Daffy is no exception. That being said; this girl is 9.5 years young with a lot of s***k and love in her to give. Daffy LOVES her bed, she loves sunny days where she can lounge in the rays, and she is more often than not - head bonking us for attention and pets.

She truly doesn’t ask for much, and she does not seem to have an opinion on the other cats one way or another - but she definitely is ready to find her own home, and a family to call her own.

We would love to see this girl find her forever home, she’s already spent six months waiting - so we need your help sharing this sweet lady so her forever humans will see her!

Please share Daffy, tag a friend that loves a senior gal, and let’s work together to find Daffy her forever home!!!

(Her tongue hangs out sometimes because she doesn’t have many teeth left - she’s okay!)

We want to wish a very special, Happy Birthday to Karen Nalio. Karen has been our OG go to at City By The Sea Vet, without her we would be a mess! There isn’t a day that goes by where we aren’t texting or emailing her and she’s always there. She handles all our vet needs for everything single cat that walks through our doors. Karen is also so much more, for one thing she’s always smiling, she’s an extremely caring friend, a dedicated dog mom and an amazing aunt. We don’t tell her enough how much we appreciate and love her, but I hope she knows it. She’s truly one-of-a-kind and we are so lucky to call her our friend. Cheers to Karen, happy birthday lady!❤️

Ursula (7 months)

rescued her in March from a warzone and, due to a bombing, was severely injured involving her right forelimb. The vet diagnosed her with a brachial plexus injury, which is severe damage to the network of nerves in and around the armpit. Being that the limb was paralyzed, the vet recommended amputation. Ursula is currently being fostered by our employee Justine and as you can tell, enjoying every second of it. Ursula is being spayed this week, then will need time to recover, and will be available for adoption in about 2 weeks.

Bianca (2 years)

found her on the streets in severe pain after being hit by a car in February. She was rushed to the vet, and a CT scan was performed to assess the severity of her injuries. They found bilateral hip dislocations, pelvic fractures, an iliac shaft fracture, and a sacroiliac luxation. Luckily, she only had mild sciatic nerve damage, was able to move her hind limbs, and her reflexes were present and normal. She was in surgery the next day to repair her fractures. Post-op she had no complications, and she even had 12 physiotherapy sessions to help aid in her recovery. Before coming to Asbury Park, we were told she was staying in a free-roam room with other cats and was getting around well. Bianca immediately made an impression on us, for all she’s been through, she has been nothing but affectionate and curious from day 1.

Theo wanted to show off his big stretch in hopes that maybe his forever person is out there scrolling and decides they need to come meet him.

He’s 6.5 years old and came to us from another rescue after it became clear that life outdoors just wasn’t for him. He’s got the scars to show that things haven’t always been easy for him, and at this point, he really just wants a soft place to land.

Give him a cozy bed, a safe home, someone to love him and a little time to settle in, and he will be happy. He’s the kind of guy who would make such a great companion, and once that purr starts going, you’ll understand why we’re always talking about how ridiculously loud it is. (We’ll have video proof of that coming soon 🤣)

Theo is also FIV+, but that doesn’t mean he can’t live a long, healthy life. FIV+ cats can also live happily alongside FIV negative cats, and Theo himself is pretty uninterested in the other cats either way.

More than anything, we’d just really love to see this guy finally get a home of his own.

Help us get Theo in front of his forever people - please share his reel, send it to someone who might be looking for a new best friend, and help us find this guy the home he deserves!!

You can book a visit to meet Theo or fill out an adoption application at www.catsburypark.com !
