Teddy, who we have known since he was just a lil’ guy, got to celebrate his 2nd birthday with us today! He got a special cookie, bacon ice cream and extra snuggles with friends. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TEDDY! 🎉

Teddy met cows for the first time today and handled it exactly how you’d expect a Great Pyrenees to: suspicious… majestic… ready to guard. 👀 🐮🤍

Fun Great Pyrenees facts:
• Originally bred to guard livestock in the mountains 🏔️
• Naturally independent thinkers (translation: they WILL question your decisions)
• Known for being calm, gentle, and incredibly loyal
• They work mostly at night — which explains the random midnight patrols around your house 🌙
• Their fluffy white coat helped shepherds tell them apart from wolves

Teddy might not be protecting the herd just yet, but he’s definitely supervising it. 😂

So many people tell me they want a smart dog.

Oh, do you? How adorable.

Because a truly smart dog will learn to open doors, deactivate baby gates, and reorganize your life according to their preferences. They’ll run psy ops on you before breakfast.

What you actually want is a biddable dog — the kind who hears a rule and says, “Wonderful! I will follow it immediately!” Not the kind who hears a rule and says, “Cute idea, Susan. I’ll get back to you.”

Smart, biddable/trainable are not the same things…and unless you’re ready to negotiate with a furry little attorney every day, biddable is the one you want.

After 20 years of opening my home and my heart to your dogs, this next part is bittersweet. Caring for your pups has shaped my life in more ways than I can count, and the relationships we’ve built mean the world to me. But it’s time for a new chapter.

Beginning January 15th, all boarding services will transition to My Pet’s Place in Littleton. This decision wasn’t made lightly, but I truly believe it will allow us to continue supporting you and your dogs with the same love, dedication, and reliability you’ve come to expect.

We will still be here for your dogs in the ways that bring them joy and purpose. Our Adventure Dog service will continue, and we’ll happily provide field trips, enrichment outings, and refresher training during their stay. We can also offer pick-up and drop-off to My Pet’s Place for an additional fee to make things easier during this transition.

Thank you—from the bottom of my heart—for trusting us with your furry family members all these years. Your support has been the foundation of everything we’ve built, and I’m deeply grateful as we step forward into this new chapter together.
