"Build it and they will come..."....So we did and all of our new boarders came and...POOF! Our outside pens are full! But we still have some inside stalls openings and that includes turnout during the day or all day, if requested.

That being posted, if you would like to be added to our waitlist for an outside pen, please reach out to us. It will be a first come, first considered basis so let us know.

We are blessed to have such a great place for our horses and our escapes...Thanks to Dave and Melanie for making it happen ❤️

🔥 Big Improvements at A Rising Star Equestrian Center! 🔥

We’ve been putting in the work—and it shows! 💪

A huge THANK YOU to Casey, Sam, and Ethan for getting our arena dialed in with the addition of new rubber footing 🙌

This upgrade means:
✔️ Better traction for our horses
✔️ Improved shock absorption
✔️ Safer rides for both horse & rider
✔️ More consistent performance across the arena

They spent hours spreading, leveling, and making sure everything was just right—and the results are 🔥

If you haven’t ridden on it yet… you’re going to LOVE it.

We’re proud to keep improving our facility and giving our riders and horses the best possible experience here at A Rising Star Equestrian Center ⭐🐴

Drop a comment if you’ve tried the new footing! 👇

A Rising Star Equestrian Center presents
Live Science-Based Horsemanship Clinic
📍 Arvada, Colorado
📅 May 2–3, 2026

Watch real breakthroughs happen in real time.

A Rising Star Equestrian Center is proud to host West Taylor for a 2-Day immersive Science-Based Horsemanship Clinic where horses and humans learn together through modern, science-based training principles.

With 15+ years working with wild horses, mustangs, and overwhelmed horse owners, West helps riders understand what’s really happening with their horse — and how to create calm, willing behavior without force.

This is not a staged demonstration.

You’ll watch every coaching session unfold live:

✔ The initial assessment
✔ Reading the horse’s nervous system
✔ The moment upregulation shifts
✔ The release that creates safety
✔ The foundation: Back Up → Stand Still → Pay Attention

No scripts.
No edited highlights.
Just real horses and real learning.

🌙🐴 Huge shoutout to our amazing team at ARS! 🐴🌙

We want to give a BIG thank you to Casey, Sam, and Alicia for going above and beyond with night checks and extra feedings in the wee hours of the morning to make sure our horses are safe, cared for, and comfortable.

Not only that — they also take the time in the evenings and early mornings to email owners updates, letting everyone know their fur babies are safe and doing well. That extra communication means so much, and it shows what an incredible team we have.

It takes a special kind of dedication to show up when most of the world is sleeping — and these three are truly the kind of team that cares deeply about our horses and their well-being.

Thank you for your hard work, your heart, and for always putting the horses first. We appreciate you more than you know!

We are sad to share the news that our dear friend and instructor, Cinnamon Ricker passed on Saturday, January 17th. She was an amazing spirit who loved her animals, and the students and friends who surrounded her. Our thoughts are with her family during this difficult time.

Her "Stellar Farm" will continue at ARS under the guidance of Marline Malic-McKernan who rode with Cinnamon for many years.

Hug your family and animals. We will miss you everyday Cinnamon...

We fall in love with horses in different ways...you may have been born with it; may have grown up with horses; fallen in love with someone who has horses or discovered them in later years when you needed an escape.

One of the best ways to learn about horses is with an experienced instructor and guide. And we have one of the best! Meet Tennie Bell of Phoenix Equine Training, LLC. Tennie has had horses most of her life and has been teaching for 27+ years. She covers all of the basics and ground work that every equestrian needs to know. And she teaches both western and english.

Her specialty may be in that she teaches a wide range of ages, starting at 5 years old and on up, so she has a group of horses geared towards those riders. You can ride inside or out, and even broaden your horizons by taking seasonal trail rides.

Look at the smiles in these pictures....
Call Tennie at 303-548-5340 ([email protected]) and schedule a lesson. You've got everything to gain ☺️

OK, so a bit of winter has arrived...we get it. But that doesn't mean we stop planning, working, designing and imagining better ways to improve our facility...

As luck would have it, we ran into a whole bunch of cool rubber footing that needed a home. And that new home will be our "ginormous" arena on the north side of our property. This arena gets a lot of play from our resident hunters, jumpers and gymkhana folks so it will be put to good use.

Come on out, take a tour and we'll let you walk barefoot in our new rubber footing...303-431-4675.
