Reminder: October is here which means snow season and freezing temperatures will be here before we know it!
Here are a couple of things that can help your pups paws.
One way to ensure & help prevent ice from forming on their paws, or salt from getting in between their toes, is to purchase dog booties. Especially on long walks and hikes. If booties are not an option & your dog doesn't acclimate to them you can use a 'paw wax' instead. Dog Aunt uses a canadian brand called 'Musher's Secret' & it sells on Chewy.com & Petedge.com. The non toxic wax also works to keep your doggies paws from burning on hot pavement in the summer season so it's a great product to have in your dog pantry all year long.

CO has turned up the heat! Today may be the hottest summer day so far in the season. Here are some of things we have been doing to help with the heat: 🐶 🐕 🐈 🐱 🐶 🐩 😺

🐾taking early morning walks (eliminate afternoon walks)
🐾avoiding hot sidewalks and staying in the shade as much as possible
🐾eating frozen treats (carrots, snap peas...any veggie that your dog or kitty likes)
🐾adding ice into water bowl & keeping water bowl full
🐾playing in shaded porch if outside on p*e p*e break
