Playtime on the porch since the Illinois weather decided to give us a much needed break from its regularly programmed insanity. Here’s our cute little potato/velociraptor/teeny-weeny babies having some fun exploring the great outdoors!

🐾💚🐾 Loki is such a sweetheart. He’s always playing with the puppies and trying to share his toys. Today he shared one of his Benebones with Nyx. Not entirely sure that was his goal but she took the offering!! After seeing how excited she was to chew on something harder than soft baby toys, it was obviously time to engage the puppies with more activity and mental stimulation. So we are upping the ante!! Bones for everyone this morning!

Don’t worry! We haven’t gone anywhere!! Mom’s just been super busy with all of us furbabies now that we are 6 weeks old and so much more comfortable, curious, and confident. We definitely keep her on her toes….while we try to eat said toes! Enjoy a cute photo dump from our week 6 of life

She’s a velociraptor ready to seek and destroy wrapped up in a sleek little black velvety soft suit. Sharp eyes and sharp teeth. Loads of drive and ready to play. She will need a home that has experience with working line German Shepherds - preferably a home where she can explore dog sports where she will very likely excel under the right training and handler. This girl is going to be a lot of fun for right person/family!!

Spotlight Post

🐾💜🐾 Lavender

This sweet girl is already showing an incredible mix of curiosity, confidence, and independence. While her brother and sisters are busy with their latest antics, she’s often the one quietly watching, taking it all in before deciding exactly what she wants to do. She never misses the sound of food being served and comes running the moment she knows it’s mealtime. And when it’s time to play, she can almost always be found in what she’s clearly claimed as “her” tunnel.

The biggest girl in the litter—second only to her brother in size—I expect she’ll grow into a strong, substantial female just like her daddy, Thunder. Her expressive face says so much, and you can almost see the gears turning as she studies everything happening around her before making her move. That thoughtful, observant nature reminds me so much of her mama, Raksha.

She’s already giving us little glimpses of just how intelligent she’s going to be, and I can’t wait to watch her continue to grow into herself.

Her mama started her life with me in this exact same spot - in my lap while I worked at my desk. She quickly graduated under my desk under my feet 😂 However, that spot is currently filled by her brother and sister! Ohhh! I can see her future so clearly!

Mornings sure do look different from one day to the next. Today these puppies are running, jumping, and exploring with confidence and joy after a good nights sleep. For most of us, anyway…one of “us” must have had bad a dream. But after a couple of minutes of cuddling she found her rhythm and fell back asleep.
