Although Rocky was new to daycare, his family has been part of the Springdale crew for years, so he showed up ready to make friends and join the fun. Winnie's family has also been coming to daycare at Springdale since the beginning of this year, and we were excited to meet a new member of the family. At Springdale, training isn’t just about the goings on at the Ranch, it’s about preparing dogs for the real world, one adventure(or chicken) at a time!

Our longer training programs include Field Trip outings into the Village, where our lead trainer takes dogs out to take all those carefully built skills and test them in a much more dynamic environment. Instead of the calm predictability of the Ranch, dogs are suddenly working around sidewalks, passing people, new smells, shopfront energy, and of course… the Village’s famously opinionated roosters. 🐓😂 Because nothing says “advanced focus training” quite like calmly heeling past a rooster who clearly believes it is the main character of the entire town.

These Field Trips are all about testing skills in real life: leash manners in motion, polite focus around distractions, and the ability to stay connected to your handler even when the world is doing its absolute most. It’s where “sit and stay” becomes “sit and stay while a rooster gives a dramatic performance three feet away.” And through it all, there are wins everywhere: calm check-ins on busy sidewalks, confident choices around new distractions, and those proud little moments where a dog chooses their person over the unpredictable goings on in the public.

❤️🤍💙This Memorial Day, all of us at Springdale Pet Ranch pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for our country. Today is a time to reflect on the heroes who gave everything to protect the freedoms we enjoy. Their bravery, loyalty, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As animal lovers, we also want to recognize the incredible military canines who faithfully served alongside our troops. These heroic dogs worked in combat zones, detected explosives, protected soldiers, carried out search-and-rescue missions, and provided comfort during some of the most difficult moments imaginable. Their loyalty mirrors the unconditional love we see in dogs every day.

To all veterans, active-duty military members, military families, and handlers of working dogs: thank you for your service and sacrifice. We are forever grateful. Wishing everyone a safe, peaceful, and meaningful Memorial Day filled with love, gratitude, and puppy cuddles. ❤️🤍💙

We just wrapped up the latest sessions of our Fun-gility Beginner and Fun-gility Skills Building classes at Springdale Pet Ranch, and we’re so proud of all our dog-and-handler teams for the hard work, progress, and tons of fun along the way!

Fun-gility is a lower-stakes, less competitive take on dog agility - designed alongside our guest instructor Sydney from Buena Vista Canines to build confidence, teamwork, and communication without the pressure of competition. It keeps all the best parts of agility while focusing on encouragement, learning, and celebrating every win (big or small). In traditional dog agility, dogs navigate obstacle courses with jumps, tunnels, weave poles, ramps, and more, guided by their handlers through cues and timing. Fun-gility uses those same foundations but in a more relaxed, supportive setting where exploration and success go hand in hand.

Across both classes, teams worked through obstacles, built focus, practiced communication, and gained confidence session by session. There were plenty of happy breakthroughs and proud celebrations from both ends of the leash. We’re incredibly proud of every team that showed up, put in the effort, and made learning such a fun experience from start to finish. We can't wait to announce our next class session - stay tuned!!

“Cue the confetti and tennis balls - yesterday was Mollie’s birthday paw-ty! 🎉🐾💛

This golden girl spent her special day living her best retriever life at Springdale's doggie daycare, where the treats were flowing, the tails were wagging, and the zoomies were absolutely off the leash. From playing with her fur-ever friends to soaking up all the belly rubs and birthday love, Mollie truly understood the assignment: she came, she paw-sed for pictures, she conquered the snack table, and she reminded everyone why goldens have hearts of pure sunshine. ☀️🐶

Here’s to many more years of happy tail wags, squeaky toys, endless cuddles, and being the goodest birthday girl around. Hope your day was pawsitively golden, Mollie - you deserve all the treats and ear scratches in the world! 💙🧡

A huge congratulations to our recent graduates! 🎓🐾Chance, Callie & Libby, Cherry, Chloe, Clover, Harley, Pilot & Tule, Roxy, and Rufus have all worked so hard, learned so much, and made us incredibly proud along the way. From building confidence and practicing good manners to learning new skills and having fun with friends, these pups have accomplished so much during their time with us!

Watching each dog grow, succeed, and shine in their own unique way is one of the best parts of what we do. Whether they came in shy, energetic, curious, or ready to learn, every one of these graduates showed amazing progress and lots of heart. Happy National Rescue Dog Day! Today we’re celebrating the incredible rescue dogs who bring so much love, loyalty, and joy into our lives - and we’d especially love to introduce you to sweet Thistle!

Thistle is a beautiful Malinois mix from Gone to the Dogs Rescue currently staying with us at Springdale Daycare while she searches for her forever home. At approximately 3 years old and around 50 pounds, Thistle is the perfect mix of adventurous, athletic, and affectionate. She loves hiking, exploring, and would make an amazing camping companion for someone who enjoys the outdoors - but after a fun day of adventure, she’s just as happy to curl up for snuggles and relax by your side. Thistle is great in the car, good with kids, house trained, and has such a loving personality. She’s ready to find a family to share all of life’s adventures and cozy evenings with.
