Fostering is one of the most impactful ways you can help a shelter dog. For our long stay residents, a foster home provides a much needed break from the shelter environment and gives them the opportunity to relax, decompress, and show off their true personalities.

Fostering helps build confidence, teaches valuable routines, and gives us important insight into how a dog behaves in a family setting. It also helps potential adopters learn more about each dog’s unique personality and needs.

Most importantly, fostering gives our dogs a soft place to land while they wait for their forever families. Every day spent in a loving home helps them thrive and brings them one step closer to adoption.

For over 20 years, Brian has been an incredible part of the Adopt-A-Dog family, dedicating his time, heart, and hard work to helping countless dogs on their journey to finding loving homes. From being the person behind the wheel of our iconic big red bus to always stepping up wherever he’s needed, Brian plays such an important role in making our mission possible every single day.
