I have a new emergency intake. Meet Sephira - she is not quite 1 year old. Last week a girl posted about her Maine C**n that she purchased for $1500. She didn't get it spayed and it got out. One month later she showed up emaciated, snot running out of her nose, blood coming out of her ears and rear end. She also miscarried 5 babies.
She wanted someone to pay her $300 for the cat and get it to the vet. I told her I would take it but I was not going to pay her for it. She had some other interest and now a week later she reached out and said no one wants her and the cat is getting worse.
Yesterday Sephira arrived at my rescue. She is bones, walking in circles with a head tilt, horribly congested and covered in mats. The process has begun to get her on the road to recovery. She has been given fluids, B12, ears cleaned and medicated, dewormed, doxycycline, cerenia in the nose, flea treated - the WORKS. Trying to get her healthier so she can be spayed as soon as possible. She probably wouldn't survive the surgery now.
Please consider donating toward her care- the meds and vet visits will not be cheap but this girl deserves a good chance at life. She is one of the sweetest Maines I have gotten in a long time. She just wants love.
