🎉🐾 Welcome Daisy and his family to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾🎉

Daisy is a 6 year old American pittbull terrier who was rescued. Daisy had a rough start and did not do well in when placed in a shelter and ultimately ended up in foster care. When Daisy came to her furever family they needed some help getting her over some major insecurities.
Daisy could not be walked out side because she would try to pull back home immediately. She was reactive and fearful inside the home and would hide or confront visitors inside the home.
We got Daisy on the right path by introducing structure into her life. We also got her exposed to multiple situations Her training plan focused on the families goals and we were able to deliver on their needs.
We’re excited to see her continue to thrive with her family.

🎉🐾 Welcome Bailey and his family to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾🎉

Bailey is an approximately 1 and a half year old cattle dog, lab mix. Bailey was adopted by a loving family who needed her to be more neutral in public and not as apprehensive around other dogs.
We worked in numerous high distraction situations to make sure Bailey was ready to meet these challenges. We built a training plan that focused in the families goals and were able to delivery on their needs.
Bailey completed training having met and exceeded all our goals as trainers and making his owners dreams reality.
We’re excited to see her continue to thrive with his family.

🎉🐾 Welcome Ferdy and his family to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾🎉

Ferdy is an approximately 6 month old mixed breed pup. Ferdy has an unknown past but a new furever home that has all the love and compassion a pup could hope for. To get started on the right foot his new owner selected a three week board and train program.
Ferdy needed work on his manners, heeling skills, place work and compete hands free freedom. Living in a home that backs Rock Creed Park in Washington DC this was a must! This owner needed her dog to be reliable and also able to be a dog.
For a young pup this was no small task, but with clear communication, proven reliable training and the proper techniques we were able to deliver.
Ferdy completed training having met and exceeded all our goals as trainers and making his owners dreams reality.
We’re excited to see him continue to thrive with his family.

🎉🐾 Welcome Samson and his family to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾🎉

Samson is an approximately 1.5 year old Rottweiler with a great personality but lots of leash reactivity. His reactivity was being directed to both people and dogs, making walking him almost impossible.
Samson did not understand his position and needed strong leadership to help him know his place in the home. He would constantly push the limits to see what he could get away with and at times making his family unsure what he would try next.
We put together a solid plan and got Sammy moving right away! With some structure, clear communication and lots of repetitions we had a solid foundation.
Sammy finished training being completely manageable in public settings. His neutrality is obvious and his desire to please shows.
We’re excited to see him continue to thrive with his family.

🎉🐾 Welcome Molly and her family to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾🎉

Molly is a 5 month old lab mix who is quite the reserved puppy. She has lots of puppy energy but is reserved in her presentation, sometimes appearing shy.
We were able to help Molly come out of her shell and develop some social skills that really let her shine.
She is now politely affectionate, walks with grace at the heel and understands the purpose of place. Living in the country we were also able to give this puppy a great recall so she can enjoy some freedom around the property.
We’re excited to see her continue to thrive with his family.

Blitz is a 9 month old Belgian Malinois/Dutch Shepherd with all the energy and drive you would expect but an exceptionally loving personality.
Blitz was having a rough time walking on a leash and his place work needed some serious help. Due to his size and personality he wanted to please but needed some structuring and direction.
Household behaviors were not where they needed to be for this on the go family.
We build a training plan that fit the families needs and completed a two week board and train program.
We were able to dial in his heeling work, gain a solid foundation for place work and establish an amazing recall!
Blitz has come a long way and is settling into a much more balanced, manageable routine. We’re excited to see him continue to thrive with his family.

🎉🐾 Welcome Lilly and her family to the Ridgeside K9 family! 🐾🎉
Lilly is a 3-year-old Rottweiler who had a rough start, going through several homes before finally landing with her current family. With all that change, she came in lacking structure and clear boundaries, which showed up as leash reactivity, poor manners around food and doors, and impulsive habits like grabbing items on walks and getting into things around the house.
Our work with Lilly centered around creating consistency and accountability. She learned how to walk calmly past people and dogs, show respect in the home, and make better choices instead of acting on every impulse. We also addressed her food manners and helped her become more patient and controlled in everyday situations.
Lilly has come a long way and is settling into a much more balanced, manageable routine. We’re excited to see her continue to thrive with her family.
