We're a Fear Free Certified Practice, which means we always prioritize your pet's comfort and work to manage their fear, anxiety, and stress in the clinic, and now we're expanding our behavior services to offer more preventative and behavior wellness!

🐾 Puppy Preschool is designed to build a positive foundation for future veterinary care.
🐾 Cooperative Care training for dogs with mild to moderate anxiety in the clinic can work with our Fear Free Certified staff to become comfortable with physical exams, handling, and any specific triggers they have.
🐾 Dogs with moderate to severe anxiety in the clinic can work with our behavior technician to come up with an in-clinic protocol that works for them, and work on cooperative care training. She also offers consultations for a variety of behavior concerns.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and the veterinary field still struggles with extremely high rates of burnout, depression, and su***de. We truly love what we do, but there can be a huge emotional toll on people who work in this field. To learn more, please go to www.nomv.org

Riot has historically needed full injectable sedation in order to draw blood, but this year she decided that her pre-visit meds, a Churu, and Dr. Gloor’s lap were enough to calmly donate a little blood for her yearly lab work. This is what Fear Free medicine looks like for us - utilizing drugs, positive distractions, and gentle handling in order to have a successful, low stress vet visit.

🚨 URGENT 🚨 One of our patients is missing! Maxine is a 3 year old female spayed Siamese mix. She is positive for Feline Leukemia (FelV) and was in the middle of treatment for FIP when she escaped from her carrier on her way home from a vet appointment. She is a small kitty, quite shy, and has shaved patches on her front legs from recent hospitalization. She was last seen in the Falls Green parking lot in Falls Church, but her owner hired a canine tracker who picked up her scent near the DMV Iron Gym in Falls Church.

She has climbed into the undercarriages of cars before, and there is concern that she was either picked up or accidentally transported. If you have seen Maxine, or may have any information, please send us a DM and we will put you in touch with her owner.
