If you have more than one dog, resist the urge to practice together right away.

Each dog should learn balance, confidence, and how to stay calm on the board on their own before adding another dog into the mix. When two inexperienced dogs are learning at the same time, they can feed off each other's excitement or uncertainty, making the process much harder—and less safe.

Set each dog up for success by building a solid foundation individually. Once both dogs are confident and reliable on the board, then you can begin introducing them together.
Slow progress now creates safe, fun adventures later. 🐾

Now that your dog is comfortable getting on and off the board, it's time to introduce movement—while staying safely on land.
Gently rock the board, shift your weight, or have someone lightly move it while your dog stands on it.
This teaches them to find their balance, build confidence, and learn to trust the board (and you!) before ever hitting the water.

Don't rush this step. A confident dog on land becomes a much safer and more relaxed dog on the water.
