Mom got me a special harness to help me go up and down the stairs easier. 💖 Being a tripod queen has never stopped me, but having a little extra support sure is nice!

Since Dad is gone all weekend umpiring baseball, we decided it was the perfect time for a dog party in Mom and Dad’s bed. 🛏️🐾

I claimed all the pillows (obviously), while Tonto took his job very seriously and guarded the bedroom door from any suspicious activity.

By suspicious activity, we mean Mom trying to leave the room without us.

I think it’s safe to say we’ve settled into this spoiled-dog lifestyle pretty well. 👑🐾

Remember when everyone said we were bonded?

Yeah… they weren’t kidding.

Mom can’t even get a decent picture of one of us because we’re always attached at the hip. If one of us is napping, the other is usually touching at least one body part. It’s in the rules.

We’re settling into our new life pretty nicely: good food, comfy blankets, fur siblings, and plenty of opportunities to supervise Mom’s every move.

Life is good. ❤️🐾

***Edited to add, our momma would like to make a note that only people who help volunteer at Warrior and Wags can help with us. Warrior and Wags needs TONS more volunteers and we can only save dogs just like us if people like YOU volunteer!****

Next Saturday, July 18th, is Warrior & Wags — the biggest event of the year for the rescue our momma volunteers at! It’s the event that helps earn lots of money to bring dogs just like us all the way to Minnesota to find their happily ever afters. ❤️

Unfortunately, our mom has to be at the event ALL DAY because she’s “important” or something. We don’t really understand human jobs, but apparently she can’t leave to come get us.

So we’re looking for a kind volunteer who lives closer to The Doghouse and might be willing to hang out with us for a little while and either:

🐾 Bring us to Warrior & Wags, or
🐾 Meet Mom in the morning and hang out with us until she is available to pick us up and bring us to her event

We promise to provide plenty of German Shepherd supervision, a few judgmental stares, and possibly some kisses if you earn them.

We’d love to make it to the event that helps so many dogs get their second chance—just like we did and meet the volunteers that have helped bring so many of our friends to Minnesota! Let our momma know if you have ideas or can help! 🫶🏻

The King and Queen have completed their spa day.

Today we visited our favorite royal stylist, Faith, at Otto’s Pet Salon, and frankly, she outdid herself. ✨

Tina is serving beauty queen energy. Tonto is looking so handsome he can barely stand himself. Our coats are fluffy, our paws are pristine, and our subjects (Mom and Dad) have been instructed to admire us accordingly.

We would like to formally thank Faith for helping us maintain the level of elegance expected from German Shepherd royalty. It is not easy being this gorgeous, but someone has to do it.

Now if you’ll excuse us, we have important business to attend to: shedding on freshly cleaned floors, demanding snacks, and supervising the household from our throne (the couch).

Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

Today we’re celebrating freedom, family, and finding our forever home!

Just a few weeks ago, we were still waiting for our next chapter. Now we’re spending the 4th of July safe, loved, and surrounded by our pack in Minnesota. We may be a little nervous about the fireworks, but we’re feeling extra grateful for second chances and all the people who helped us get here.

Hi friends! Just checking in from our new home.

We’ve decided that Mom should never have to go anywhere alone, so we’re now her full-time shadows. If she moves, we move. It’s a very important job.

Tonto here—I’m still keeping a close eye on my girl Tina and making sure she’s okay. Tina says she’s okay, but I think she likes having me around anyway.

We’re still figuring out this whole Minnesota thing, but we’ve got comfy spots to nap, full bellies, and lots of love. We’d say we’re settling in pretty well.

We made it home to Minnesota at 10:00 PM last night! 💙

After a very long day of traveling, we got some yummy food in our tummies, stretched our legs, and had a big slumber party with Mom in the living room. We were pretty nervous at first, but we’re already starting to settle in.

Our favorite thing so far? Following Mom everywhere she goes. Bathroom? We’re there. Kitchen? We’re there. Living room? Definitely there. 🐾🐾

Thank you to everyone who helped us get here and cheered us on during our journey. We are safe, loved, and finally home. ❤️

This is our adopted human, Kate! We met her last summer and she has not stopped talking about us so we begged Debbie to let us adopt her. The good news is, Debbie said yes! And we’re heading to Minnesota next Saturday. We’re so excited to see Kate again and meet all of our new furry siblings! Stay tuned for lots of new fun adventures! ❤️

We’re Tina & Tonto, two rescue German Shepherds with an unbreakable bond and a story that’s still being written.

Tina is a tripod who doesn’t let three legs slow her down, and Tonto has an old hip injury but still loves to run and explore. Together, we’re proof that a few bumps in the road can’t stop a happy life.
