We had a little surprise show up at the back door of the store on Memorial Day, 05/29.

We were filthy, covered in scabs, and skin and bones. We have been putting on weight and healing well!

Rico is a Colombian Tegu (Tupinambis Teguixin)

He is the inspiration for Serpentipities.
He came to me on 01/21/2021 and suffered from 3 bacterial infections, sepsis, dehydration, malnutrition and metabolic bone disease.
He was touch and go for over 2 months having to administer medications. But he pulled through like the trooper he is.

Rhonda is doing fantastic and has settled into her 8x4x4. She is exploring and becoming more active. Her whole demeanor has changed significantly after getting her in a more appropriately sized enclosure!

Female Western Hognose (Heterodon nasicus)

These snakes are a lot of fun to work with, but they can be difficult.
They have little upturned snouts to burrow and find toads, as that would be their main diet and other amphibians. So, keeping their feeding schedule consistent can be tricky at times.
They can be found in Southern Canada, the United States, and Northern Mexico!

These are very common and well-known in the reptile industry because they tend to have a very docile demeanor. They're very calm and you can take them out with you if you want to!
