YFL Board & Train | October 30 – November 28, 2026

Our four-week program focuses on building a strong foundation of obedience, structure, and good manners. We work on leash manners, recall, place, basic commands, and reinforcing good habits that will carry over into everyday life at home.

This is our last opportunity to offer Board & Train at our current pricing! Our training rates will be increasing January 1, 2027, so if you’ve been considering sending your YFL Labrador back to us for training, now is a great time!

Session Dates: October 30 – November 28 2026

Open to YFL Labradors 5 months and older.

Whether your YFL needs help polishing up their manners, working through those teenage puppy stages, or simply needs more structure and consistency, we’d love to have them back!

Storm x Tulsa pups had their first taste of puppy mush, and I think it’s safe to say they enjoyed it!

Their eyes and ears are open, teeth are starting to come in, and they’re getting more active by the day. Some figured out the whole eating thing pretty quickly, while others seemed more interested in wearing it.

It’s about to get a whole lot messier around here! It’s now bath time 🛀

🐾 Storm x Tulsa Puppy Update! 🍫🐶

These little chocolate nuggets are getting BIG! Their eyes and ears are officially open, those tiny teeth are starting to come in, and they’re becoming more curious, playful, and mobile by the day!

Next stop… PUPPY MUSH! 🥣

They have absolutely no idea what delicious, messy chaos is coming their way! 🐾

🤎🐾 YFL DOG OF THE MONTH: BOWIE 🐾🤎

Meet Bowie, our Yates Family Labradors Dog of the Month!

His family describes him as the unofficial mayor of their house!! Equal parts sweet, goofy, curious, dramatic, and hilarious, Bowie has mastered the art of being wherever the action is and, of course, usually right in the center of it!

Whether he’s claiming a chair, supervising the neighborhood, or finding a way to make an ordinary moment more entertaining, Bowie keeps his family laughing and on their toes.

His family put it best:

“At this point, we’re pretty sure we just live in his house!”

But underneath all that personality is the part we love hearing most. Bowie has completely woven himself into their hearts and truly completes their family.

This is exactly why we love getting updates from our YFL families. We get to know these dogs from the moment they’re born, but watching them grow up, develop their own personalities, and become such an important part of their families is pretty special.

Congratulations, Bowie! You’ve officially earned the title of YFL Dog of the Month! 🐾🤎

Family Day at Yates Family Labradors 🐾

This might just be Mark Sr.’s favorite day of the entire puppy process.

Family Day isn’t puppy selection day. No puppies are picked. It’s simply a day for the families who have deposits on that litter to come to our home, meet Mark Jr. and Mark Sr., meet the mama, spend time with the puppies, and get ready for what’s ahead.

We talk about all of it. The do’s and don’ts. The fun parts of Labrador ownership and the not so fun parts. Training, feeding, crates, potty training, chewing, exercise, expectations, and what those first days and weeks at home really look like.

Mark Jr. and Mark Sr. don’t care if you’ve owned Labradors your entire life or if this will be your very first dog. Maybe you’re raising a future service dog. Maybe you want a hunting partner. Maybe this is the family dog your kids have been begging for. Whatever walk of life brings you to YFL, our goal is the same: we want you to feel supported, prepared, and excited to bring home your Labrador Retriever puppy.

And if you’re out of state or simply can’t make Family Day, that’s okay too. YFL puppies have ended up all across the United States, as well as Canada and Mexico, so it’s very common for Mark Jr. to have individual Family Day phone calls with families who can’t be here in person.

It’s more than meeting a litter of puppies. It’s about preparing families for the years that come after take home day. ❤️🐾

🎉 Congratulations to YFL’s Denver Rocky Mountain High CGC on officially earning her Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title! 🐾🤎

Denver is the daughter of RHR’s Alwayz Behind Living On Tulsa Time × YFL Perfect Sweet Storm CGC.

Denver is one of our wonderful guardian dogs and, pending all of her future health clearances, is planned to become a future YFL mama, carrying on her mom Storm’s legacy and the next generation of Yates Family Labradors. 🤎

We’re incredibly proud of Denver and excited for everything ahead for this sweet girl!
