This is Max! He is a rescue in our care at Lighthouse Dog Rescue. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting let me know. He has a sister. Pics will come if you’re interested in both?

"National Pet Carbon Monoxide (CO) Safety Day" arrives every September 17th and is dedicated to educating pet owners about the silent, odorless threat of carbon monoxide poisoning. This vital day, established in 2020, urges you to learn the signs, install CO detectors, and safeguard your beloved companions.

Carbon monoxide (CO) is an invisible, odorless, and tasteless gas that can harm both humans and animals.

Some common household sources include:
1. Heating systems: Furnaces, boilers, and gas or oil space heaters.
2. Appliances: Gas stoves, ovens, water heaters, and clothes dryers.
3. Fireplaces: Wood-burning and gas fireplaces, especially with blocked chimneys.

Protect your pets and family by understanding the risks and taking preventative action. You can read more safety guidance on prevention from the CDC Carbon Monoxide Guide. Visit https://www.cdc.gov/carbon-monoxide/about/index.html for more information.
