As you can see, Rocky and Ash are currently holding me hostage.

According to dog math:
100 lb German Shepherd + 65 lb German Shepherd = 165 lbs of pure stubbornness.

As a result, all training sessions have been canceled until further notice, or until I’m granted permission to leave.

Current hostage negotiations consist of belly rubs, snacks, and telling them they’re good dogs every 30 seconds.

Just kidding 😂 Follow for more wholesome dog content and dog training tips! ✨

The amount of loose dogs running around neighborhoods is insane.

The clips in this video are from 3 different neighborhoods in the DFW area, and that’s only what I managed to capture on camera. I’ve had countless encounters with loose dogs that never made it into a video.

At this point, I’m genuinely tired of it. What are we doing? We have to do better.

Why are so many dog owners either entitled or completely ignorant when it comes to basic responsibility? It is not hard to be a responsible dog owner. Leash your dog. Make sure your fences are secure. Don’t let them roam the neighborhood unsupervised.

Not every dog is friendly. Not every dog wants to be approached. Every time your loose dog runs up to another dog, a person, or a family, you’re creating a potentially dangerous situation that could have been prevented.

Being a responsible dog owner isn’t complicated. Protect your dog, respect other people, and leash your dog.

Ash said if you laugh, you better follow… or she has R-rated paws for a reason. 😭🐾😂

Consider this your official warning. Proceed accordingly.

This is King, a 3-year-old Pit Bull who struggles with dog aggression and reactivity. The progress has been slow, but progress is progress, and that’s what matters.

Before coming to me, King had been through training that unfortunately didn’t address the root of his issues. At 3 years old, many of his behaviors and habits are deeply ingrained, so my job isn’t just to teach obedience—it’s to help change the way he views the world and build new, healthier associations.

The good news is that King is fantastic with people. His challenge is other dogs. That’s why I’m using my own dog, Ash, to help him learn that not every dog is a threat and that calm, appropriate behavior is possible around them.

Rehabilitation takes time, patience, and consistency, but every small win is a step in the right direction. King has a long road ahead, but he’s already proving that change is possible.

If you enjoy watching these training journeys, make sure to follow for more dog training content. And if you’re in Arlington, Grand Prairie, or anywhere in the DFW area and need help with your dog, send me a DM. I’d be happy to help. ✨

This is why we do a lot of impulse control training. Rocky (the big GSD) has been attacked by multiple cats in our neighborhood for some reason they’re always really aggressive toward him 😭, so he absolutely hates cats. But just because he doesn’t like another animal doesn’t give him the right to go after them. He respects their space and keeps moving.
Same thing with Ash (the small GSD). She loves to chase and greet every person, dog, and animal she sees because she’s so friendly. But whether a dog is reactive or overly friendly, they both need to learn impulse control and how to remain calm.
This takes time, consistency, and training, but it’s absolutely possible.
