Our feed stalls have been started! I'm so excited to get these up to feed the horses in or for layups and emergencies. It is so rewarding to be a part of this farm coming together to shape something so magnificent!

Just being around horses does so much for us. Our heart rates lower, breathing relaxes, and we become mindful. Horses help us step inside ourselves and live in the moment. Suddenly we can quiet the noise of the outside world. All that matters is the here and now.

Really, in the whole game of life, all that matters, all that is is right now. The past is in your head. The future hasn't happened yet. Live your life to it's fullest. We aren't promised tomorrow.

Raven got to try out having a bit in her mouth tonight. She wasn't quite sure what to think. It's normal for horses to chew on the bit and play with the foreign thing in their mouth initially. I think I'd be weirded out if someone stuck a metal thing in my mouth!

So far I've been riding her with a halter and lead rope. I would like to get her a sidepull. But I would also like her to get used to a bit as well.

Seeing how she takes everything else in stride, she should get used to this in no time.

Farm work is always better with another hand! We got a LOT of rain here yesterday. It was much needed, but maybe not all at once. Our pond has extended to a lot of the pasture 🤣.

Jax is helping me rinse out the horses dishes after feeding them this morning.

It's a beautiful day 🌞
