We have an exciting addition to our breeding program. Warrior Labando is now on US soil! He has passed all of his health testing, has his chic number ( #224972) and will start his US show career this weekend. Thank you Borislav Sovilj for sharing him with us. He is gorgeous and has an impressive pedigree but beyond that he has the best character, fun, loving, sweet and calm. He’s the whole package!

Warriors parents are BISS CIB Gleska Highly Addictive & Rorita Labando

Stay tuned for more from this promising young boy.

I’ve had multiple clients send me this news article regarding a breeder who is live streaming their lagotto litter as they are raised. I figured others might be interested in following …

Finland’s national broadcaster Yle has been drawing millions of people to its website with “Pentulive” – Finnish for “Puppy Live” – a 24/7 live stream of Hilkka, a Lagotto Romagnolo dog, and her brand-new litter of puppies as they sleep, play and suckle enthusiastically. https://cnn.it/4joXB1g

Unpacking from a memorable first trip to Raduno in Italy where I had the very special experience of meeting in person for the first time my good friend Borislav Sovilj who I’ve known for over almost 7 years and have learned so much from, worked with in so many capacities and someone who feels like family after having been through so much together.

It can be difficult to break into a new breed especially as someone with little experience in showing and breeding. I found an unexpected mentor from across the ocean who has turned into a great friend and I’m just so happy to have met him and his lovely wife Kukolj Sovilj this weekend. Not to mention their amazing boys Whisperer and Brando who I already felt like I knew as well.

Amy does a great job of explaining how to open the eyes up without “holing” them out or doodling them.

I’ve had quite a few requests on how to open the eye up. Here is how I opened Michelangelo’s eyes up.

To “Doodle” the Lagotto - groomers like to use clippers and shave the space between the eyes and over the bridge of the nose. If anyone has a pic of a doodled-lagotto - feel free to post it.

If there is another way you know of, please share!
