Nature’s snack break. 🫐☀️🐾

On today’s walk, we found some ripe wineberries growing along the trail, so we took a quick break to enjoy a dog-safe treat before heading back out.

Summer walks are all about slowing down, finding shade, staying hydrated, and making the most of the little moments. 💚

We've seen a lot of discussion about coyotes throughout the Rivertowns recently, so we wanted to share information from a trusted local resource.

Coyotes are a natural part of our environment, and with the right precautions, we can safely coexist while protecting our pets.

If you encounter a coyote:
🐾 Keep your dog leashed and close.
📢 Make yourself look big, maintain eye contact, and make loud noises.
🚫 Don't run or allow your dog to chase.
🗑️ Help prevent future visits by securing garbage, removing outdoor pet food, and eliminating other attractants.

We created this guide using recommendations from the Wolf Conservation Center of New York, which has excellent educational resources on coyote behavior and coexistence.

The Irvington Public Library will be hosting a free presentation on coyotes tomorrow, July 9, from 7:00–8:15 PM. It's a great opportunity to hear from experts, ask questions, and learn practical ways to keep both pets and wildlife safe.

What an incredible addition to our community! 🐾

Huge congratulations to tristen.roberts1 on completing this amazing Eagle Scout project. From separate areas for large and small dogs to agility features, benches, and a water fountain, it’s clear how much thought went into creating a space that local dogs and their families will enjoy for years to come.

We stopped by to check it out and couldn’t wait to share a look at Ardsley’s newest dog park. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen!
