From Shelter to Safe Space 🏡❤️

We visited some long-term residents from Ardmore Animal Care (Animal Shelter) to show how a little time and patience can go a long way.

Both Macy and Zuma have been living at the shelter for 200+ days, and are waiting for the chance to become your new best friend.🐾

Barktown will be covering their adoption fee + one free training session.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about them. Someone patient, observant, dependable, and ready to be part of a team that puts dogs first.

As a Canine Counselor at Barktown, your days may include:
• Supervising daycare and boarding dogs
• Supporting safe and positive play
• Cleaning and maintaining a calm environment
• Helping dogs feel comfortable, seen, and supported
• Working alongside a team dedicated to intentional care

Experience is a plus, but mindset matters most. We can teach skills, but we can’t teach devotion.

If you’re passionate about dogs, value teamwork, and believe in thoughtful, enrichment-focused care, we’d love to hear from you.

There are so many sweet and loving pups out at Ardmore Animal Care (Animal Shelter) that are looking for love ❤️

There are more ways to help than adopting. Doggie day-cations or simply pulling them out for a walk or play time makes a big difference in their day. Toys, treats, or donations are always wonderful too.
