Our office bird, Richie, who was found in a park years ago, is outside for a bit getting some fresh air & sun on this beautiful day!

We hope you're all enjoying this gorgeous weather as he is.

If you're visiting the office, please remember that Richie will bite so we ask that you do not place your fingers or hands in his cage to protect yourself & to not cause him any undue stress.

HAPPY UPDATE!
Do you remember our stray boy, Ozzy? Well, with some help from the wonderful folks at Ozzy found an amazing new home to rest his head. He has a new brother, Cooper, who he gets to run & play with & is doing well!

Enjoy your new home Ozzy!! So happy for you ❤️

Meet sweet baby, Indigo!
Unfortunately, the family has had an emergency come up & needs to rehome her. Mom has given permission for us to share her as she is a client who takes very good care of & is heartbroken she needs to rehome Indigo.
Mom would like her to go to a good home where she can be loved as she loves her people, she's good with other dogs, cats & kids too.
Indigo is 6 months old, not spayed yet & is up to date on vaccines.

Please help us help her heartbroken momma find her a good home!

Happy Spring & Happy Friday! We hope you & your families have a great weekend & enjoy the warm weather.

Since spring is here, did you know just like us, our pets can get allergies? Ear infections, itchy, red irritated paws, itchy skin & more are all signs & while there are expensive allergy tests to figure out the exact things your cat or dog are allergic to, there are more cost effective treatments.
Cytopoint is an injection that can be given monthly by the veterinary office, for some pets, it lasts longer.
Apoquel is the prescription allergy pill from the vet which is another option.
If your furry family member is struggling with signs of allergies, contact the vet office to make an appointment to speak with the veterinarian.

Did you know that just like us, dogs & cats can be blood donors & help save lives?

Both Metropolitan Vet & UPenn Ryan Vet hospital are the closest programs to Ardmore.

There are requirements for the programs before your companion can join and help save another pets life such as specific weight, age & health requirements!

If interested, please reach out to the prospective hospitals for their requirements & further information!

Did you know you can go onto capcvet.org & see how prevalent different parasitic infections are in your state & county? You can even break ot down by year!
PA is high for tick-borne illnesses & fleas so please make sure your pet is up to date on their yearly f***l test, yearly heartworm test & both flea & tick prevention to help keep them healthy!

If they're exhibiting any signs of possible infections, please get them seen by the veterinarian so they can receive treatment & get back to living a healthy life.

Did you know that March is Pet Poison Awareness month?
This shows just some of the most common pet poisons to be aware of but there are many more!

What should you do if your pet ingests a poison? Call Pet Poison Control 1-888-426-4435, there will be a bit of a hold & there is a fee since they are licensed toxicologists who help to figure out what the treatment is based on information you provide about your pet. If you don't want to pay this fee yourself, whatever veterinarian you go to will be able to call for you but they need to charge more & it delays treatment!

Poison control will provide a case # that your vet office needs to contact them about the treatment plan & go from there!

Please be aware as spring & summer are around the corner as well as Easter.

Hey, Ivens-Bronstein friends: do you remember Heidi, our former vet tech who left us some years back to go to veterinary school? Look who's going to be on Jeopardy tonight!!!! We are so excited to watch and are wishing her all the best! We always knew she was a smartie!
