*Cool water helps lower your dog’s temperature. However, when your dog is overheated and panting very heavily, only offer small amounts of water at a time so they don’t gulp too much air. Stay cool! 😎

Most groomers & vets suggest avoiding a very short haircut on double-coated breeds. The undercoat traps air for insulation to keep a dog cooler in hot weather and warmer in the winter. Therefore, shaving the undercoat can make your dog hotter and also increases their risk of sunburn, insect bites, and permanent damage to the coat.

Instead, make sure to brush and bathe them regularly to keep them free of the shedding undercoat and keep their paws, legs, and belly trimmed.

As always, provide cool water and shade and avoid bringing your dog outside during the hottest parts of the day.

EDIT: The reno is postponed, but not canceled!

Hello everyone and happy August! We have big news!! ‼️📢

Starting September 14, we will begin renovating two of our dog rooms. The result will be larger spaces for our smallest guests! Please pardon our dust and bear with us as we upgrade the experience for the little ones.

We will still board small dogs during this time as we will be emptying out our break room to accommodate them.

We’ve also made some changes to the large dog kennel over the last couple years, pictured above. Perhaps more large dog space in the future? 👀

As always, thank you all for trusting us with your furry family members. ❤️
