Canopy Oak Trails: Horse Boarding, Leasing and Riding Lessons

10/21/2026

It is with huge gratitude that I express our appreciation to Green Gaits of Ocala for their generous donation of feed, alfalfa & coastal hay. There were so many bags of feed, we had to find multiple places to stack it in the barn. They even delivered the second (huge) load all the way from Ocala & unloaded it, too.

We are not an official rescue, but we have adopted a few horses that need “ extra groceries” and other remedial care. Anyone interested in helping with a donation through GoFundMe can click on this link:

Our two new arrivals have been here two weeks now and are already putting on weight. (We’ve been slowly increasing their feed and they’re getting alfalfa hay now.) It’s a pretty subtle difference, but I’m very happy to see improvement.

Sassy has put weight on more quickly, probably because of her donkey-esque physique, but Duke has gained some weight also.

❤️🐎Help These Two Equines Regain Their Health!

A horse & a hinny, equine-assisted therapy trained, were recently gifted to us & are in need of rehabilitation. They need improved nutrition, hoof care, vaccinations, deworming & possibly veterinary care. Please help them regain their health so they can return to the meaningful work they were trained to do, helping their students. Every contribution & share makes a difference!

Thank you for supporting their journey toward healthier, happier lives!❤️

Just one lesson to learn the basics, in order to feel more safe and comfortable around horses. Then, if you want, we can take it from there.

Have you ever wondered what this looks like from the bottom of the water trough?

A little time in the saddle, plenty of fresh air, and even better company. 🐴🌿Such a beautiful Friday was spent making memories with our Canopy Oak Trails family.
