🐾 When we're full, we still want to help 🐾

If we ever have to say no to taking in an animal, it's only because our shelter is at capacity. Please don't give up — we've put together a list of 20 other area shelters and rescues that may be able to help, from Wauseon and Bryan to Toledo, Defiance, and Fort Wayne.

📄 View or print the list here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Qrl6bWyB_IihGRYsAauPanilcudf6MWj/view?usp=drivesdk

Most take surrenders by appointment, so please call first. And if you'd rather rehome your pet yourself, the list includes a safe option for that too. 🧡

🐾 Looking for low-cost spay/neuter options? 🐾

We put together a list of affordable spay & neuter clinics within about 1½ hours of Archbold — Humane Ohio in Toledo, plus options in Bowling Green, Adrian (MI), and Fort Wayne — with prices and phone numbers.

📄 View or print the list here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IPCSm9a_KXXE1mPtFJWNe8zk3K4GCULt/view?usp=drivesdk

Please call ahead to confirm current pricing and book your appointment. Fixing your pet prevents unwanted litters and helps keep animals out of shelters. 🧡

🧡 **MEET FINN** 🧡

Finn is a 3-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua looking for his forever home! This little guy is super playful and loving, and he's good with cats, kids, and other dogs. He's neutered and up to date on all vaccines and preventions, and he's ready to go home today.

Adoption fee: $400

🧡 WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES 🧡

The first photo is Penny in August 2025. She arrived at our shelter as a neglected puppy-mill mama — matted, shaved down, skinny, and pregnant, like so many "mill mamas" who spend their lives being bred with almost no care at all.

The rest of the photos are Penny today — exactly one year after her adoption. Her family says she fits in like she's always been part of the family: "a little ray of sunshine and chaos," loved by everyone, even the big dogs. 🌞

From mill mama to beloved family member. Happy one year home, Penny! 🎉🐾

🚨 COURTESY POST — LOST OR STOLEN DOG 🚨

This is Pierre, a black-and-white poodle. He has been missing for three days from Hemlock in Wauseon, near Chief Supermarket — and he may have been taken.

His family is desperate to get him home. If you've seen Pierre, or know anything about where he might be, please contact the shelter and we'll get the information to his family right away.

Please share — especially in the Wauseon area. Let's bring Pierre home! 🐾

🚨 COURTESY POST — TEMPORARY FOSTER HOME NEEDED 🚨

Meet Uma (female) and Charleston (male) — two super sweet, super easy tabbies who need a temporary foster home from mid-December through early June 2027 while their owner is in Japan for a study abroad program.

✅ Spayed/neutered, all vaccines, no health issues
✅ Good with other animals
✅ Everything they need is provided — including a litterbox system that is virtually odor free
✅ All costs of care covered, and payment is offered for their care

These two are not at our shelter — we're just sharing to help them find a safe landing spot for a few months. Interested? Contact Jessica directly at 843-406-3445.

Please share to help Uma and Charleston! 🐾
