Thank you Joshua Klein Alpacashear for our new hair cuts. We are sorry that some of us acted inappropriately.
Breezy Hill Alpacas would like to that everyone that helped. Laura, Sarah, Jared, Maureen, Heidianne, Emily, Jenn, and anyone else who popped in to help a little here and there. My husband did amazing helping me groom everyday since Tuesday, the same animals over and over. Believe it or not, we still like each other! I hope everyone enjoyed learning and loving the alpacas today. They got to witness the alpacas spitting. Everyone always asks, "Do they spit?" The alpacas look amazing and they will appreciate their haircut even more when it starts to feel like spring!

This is what shearing looks like. Some people are surprised when they lay them out on the ground. The ground is the safest place to be. They aren't going to fall. Nobody is getting hurt. If is about a 8 minute process fr9m start to finish.

It is that time of year again, shearing time. Our date is May 11th. I am concerned because it is just Stevie and I. Chris has an AP exam and Conner has to work. If anyone is available to help, I would greatly appreciate it. We need sweepers, baggers, and runners to get the animals and take them back to their pens. Not hard work but it runs smoothly with more people. I was also wondering if any agricultural students or 4H students could help and get credit for learning experience.
