Our mission is to provide you and your pets with service of the highest quality, keeping your companions healthy and giving you piece of mind. We believe that it is through communicating with you, the pet owner, that we can both work together to

give your pet a happy and healthy home environment. Pets are an important part of all our lives, and we want nothing more than to ensure that your friends remain with you for a long, long time. We are a mixed practice, providing the best medical care available to everything, from the family puppy to a herd of cows on a cow-calf ranch. We will work with you for the overall health and production of your animals. The Highland Veterinary Clinic are members of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and OVMA (Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association) as well as an affiliate member of AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association). The clinic also has members in the AABP (American Association of Bovine Practitioners) and the AAEP (American Association of Equine Practitioners). Highland Veterinary Clinic is now providing comprehensive cardiac evaluations for dogs, including echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound).

Each echocardiogram is reviewed and interpreted by a board-certified veterinary cardiologist, providing you and your veterinarian with an expert assessment of your pet’s heart health.

This service is available for:
• Highland Veterinary Clinic clients as part of your pet’s primary care.
• Referral patients from veterinarians throughout western Oklahoma and the surrounding region.

If your dog has a heart murmur, arrhythmia, coughing, exercise intolerance, fainting episodes, or another condition requiring a cardiac evaluation, we’re here to help.

📞 Contact Highland Veterinary Clinic to schedule an appointment or to discuss a referral.

Recognizing“footrot or not” is one of the most important things we can do for cattle welfare. It keeps cattle with things like DIP sepsis, sole ulcers and even ruptured cruciates from being treated for days or weeks when a real diagnosis and treatment are needed. ✔️

Things like whether foot swelling is symmetric or not and whether or not it responds to antibiotics in 48-72 hours are objective measures we can teach to determine “footrot or not”.

But before you hit the sand this June, here are a few things to keep in mind: rinse off saltwater after swimming, watch for overheating on hot sand, bring fresh water, and check if the beach is pet friendly first!

A little prep goes a long way for a safe and fun day out. ☀️
