Del Mar has reduced hours due to staffing shortage.
Current hours are:

8am to 6pm weekdays
8 Am to 2pm on Saturdays
Tuesday evening -walk in vaccine clinic 630-730
Doctors hours are by appointment.

We will be closed on Thanksgiving day.

Del Mar is Still offering safe curbside service!
We are open 730 am to 6pm weekdays
and 8am to 5pm Saturdays.
Also still offering our walk in pet vaccination clinic Tuesday nights from 630 to 730.

Thank you for your patience during the pandemic. We are doing our best to provide full services, and take care of your pets urgent medical care. It takes extra time and our staff is working hard to keep up with the demand, however curbside does take a little longer.

- Please arrive on time and call to check in with the owners first and last name, appointment time, and where you are parked. Make sure we have your contact information correct.
- If you have a new pet please have the medical records emailed directly to us from the previous veterarians office. Email: [email protected].
- Plan ahead for your prescription renewals as it may take us up to 48 hours to fill. You can pre pay -once it is ready for easy pick up.

Sal the turtle came in for a pedicure yesterday...
just a reminder to all that we are still providing curbside service and sometimes our appointments take longer than usual. Our staff is working hard and have been open and providing full service throughout the entire pandemic. Although we may be turtle speed (at times), we definitely finish the race!

This little kitten came into Del Mar Pet Hospital yesterday after having been found inside a trucks engine. He had hitched a ride from Visalia to Hollister before he was discovered.
Dr. Mary Siri examined the ~ 8 week old kitten and found no injuries from the trip but he was covered with fleas and had an ocular discharge. The kitten was bathed and is looking and feeling much better now.

Dr. Siri recommended testing for Fiv/Fip and the test came up positive, however in kittens this young the test results can be due to the maternal antibodies of the Momma cat. Often times it will test negative at a later date. Stay tuned for the follow up to this story....

So far the kitten is un-named but the foster mom, is thinking some sort of adventure/ traveler name would be appropriate. She is seeking a forever home for the kitten as she already has a menagerie of pets at home. If you are interested in adopting, message us for information.

Congratulations Dr. Rhiannon Sullivan! Her Graduation ceremony from Veterinary School was to be on Saturday. But this is 2020, a year like no other! She celebrated if course . An Aptos local, Rhiannon finished Veterinary school earlier this year and passed the California board exams. She has been working at Del Mar since March.
