🎉🐾 BIG news and we are so excited we can barely contain it 🐾🎉
In just a few short days, Albert’s Dog Lounge will be welcoming 30, yes THIRTY, Ridglan Beagles into their next chapter.
To celebrate this moment (and the full-on Beaglemania we are living in right now), we’ve given our logo a special makeover just for the week. We hope it makes you smile as much as it does us. 🐶
We know there is a lot of excitement and a lot of questions, so we want to be clear about where things stand and how you can truly help right now.
Do we need fosters?
No. We are fully prepared. Our leadership team has been directly involved in this effort, and these dogs already have experienced, carefully selected fosters lined up who understand what they will need as they begin navigating a brand new world.
Can I apply to adopt one of these beagles?
Not at this time. These dogs will need extensive veterinary care and significant time to decompress and rehabilitate. We are talking weeks, likely months. When they become available, we will share that publicly. Applications submitted now specifically for these beagles will not be processed.
So how can you help right now?
If you have been thinking about adopting, the most impactful thing you can do is apply for the dogs currently in our care. Every adoption opens the door for us to say yes to dogs like these.
It is also important to understand how we operate. Albert’s Dog Lounge is rooted in quality of care over quantity. We do not just take dogs in, we invest in them, inside and out.
For these beagles, that means:
- High-quality, nutritious food
- Targeted supplements to support recovery
- Safe, structured environments and comfortable beds
- Comprehensive veterinary care including bloodwork, spay/neuter, and ongoing treatment
These dogs will also be extreme flight risks, so we will be using enhanced safety protocols and secure equipment to keep them safe as they adjust.
The reality is, this level of care comes at a cost. We are conservatively estimating $1,000 per dog in vetting alone, $30,000 total to responsibly bring these dogs into our program. That does not include food, supplies, or ongoing care.

We are scheduled to receive these dogs on Thursday, May 7th, and we will begin sharing updates once they have had time to settle.
This is a significant moment for our organization, but more importantly, it is a life-changing moment for these dogs. We are ready to meet them exactly where they are and give them the care, patience, and dignity they deserve.
One final note:
We ask that comments remain kind and respectful. Our focus is solely on helping these dogs. That is, and always will be, our priority. (Negative comments toward Ridglan Farms will be removed.)
