We created a complete Halloween Guide and here is the check list from that guide. Be sure to check out our site for the full guide. Halloween Night Dog Safety Checklist 🐾
Halloween is fun for us—but all the candy, costumes, visitors, and doorbell action can be a lot for our dogs! Before the trick-or-treaters arrive, take a few minutes to set your pup up for a safer, calmer night.
🍫 Candy up high — Chocolate, sugar-free candy, and raisins stay out of reach.
🐕 Walk before dark — A tired dog is a calmer dog when the doorbell starts.
🏠 Set up a quiet room — Bed, water, a stuffed chew toy, and some background noise can help.
🏷️ Check collars, tags & microchips — Make sure tags are readable and microchip information is current.
🚪 Guard the front door — Keep your dog behind a gate or closed door whenever it opens.
🎃 Costume comfort check — If your dog freezes, paws at the costume, or seems uncomfortable, take it off.
