Pupdate on Winnie.

She made it through surgery and is back at home with her foster. She’s gonna be fine. It was simple bloat caused by a blockage in her stomach of a foreign object (looks like maybe a turkey baster) and chunks of undigested rawhide/pigs ear type of treats.

Friendly reminder that rawhide is not good for pups who eat big chunks of it. It’s not digestible and can easily cause issues.

I’m glad she’s ok, back home, and on the up-n-pup!!! If you’re looking for a pup, you should consider her or her sister Minnie. Both are great dogs, well socialized and great with kids.

Today I was working with a puppy in foster care with Spot's Last Stop Canine Rescue, and she collapsed about 10 minutes after I finished my session with her. I recognized it as bloat and rushed her to the emergency vet. Winnie is currently in surgery, and we think she’s gonna make it, but it comes with pretty heavy vet bill. If you can help Spots in any way, please follow the link below. It will cost them about $6,000-$9,000 to save this pup. Spots doesn’t have a large budget, and this is a pretty serious cost to absorb for them.

She is the sweetest puppy, and every dollar helps. I’ll post a pupdate when I know how she’s doing.

I love working with dogs! But I also love making music… and tomorrow night from 7-9pm we are starting our summer concert series at Bogart's Entertainment Center with the Lavender Wh***ey Band!!!
