🏹🔥 ATTENTION, TRIBUTES!!🔥🏹

THE GAMES ARE UPON US. The Capitol — or rather, the Dog-On-It trial committee — has spoken: the arena is ready, the courses are here, and the time has come to enter your canine champion before the closing date. We proudly previously announced 3 days of AKC Agility Trials, September 25–27, 2026 in Apopka, Florida.

But this year, there’s something NEW in the arena… the FIRST ANNUAL PUPkin Cup Tournament! 🐾🎃🏆 We’ll be offering ISC courses designed by Michiel Lazeroms as a part of this amazing trial! That means even more challenging courses, more opportunities to test your teamwork, and a brand-new battle for glory.

GET YOUR TRIBUTES ENTERED NOW! 🏹 There will be plenty of opportunities to run fast, think quickly, and prove what you and your canine partner are capable of. We will have o̶n̶l̶y̶ ̶o̶n̶e̶ THREE champions of each level for the PUPkin cup!

So gather your courage, sharpen your skills, and prepare your canine tribute. Don’t wait until the final bell—once the entry period closes, no more tributes may enter the arena.

May the Qs be ever in your favor. 🔥

🎩✨ TADA! The MAGIC is BACK! ✨🎩

Barb Davis Agility Seminar - December 5–6, 2026 - Registration opens October 1!

Abracadabra… BARB DAVIS IS RETURNING TO DOG-ON-IT!

Get ready for a weekend where great handling, thoughtful training, and teamwork come together to create a little agility magic! 🪄✨

Barb’s coaching is anything but smoke and mirrors. She takes the time to truly get to know you and your dog as a team—how you communicate, how you respond to each other, and how you work together. Her carefully planned and personalized lessons help teams uncover those “AHA!” moments, refine their skills, tackle challenges, and become even better partners on the course.

🎩 PULL A FEW NEW SKILLS OUT OF THE HAT:
🪄 Saturday, 12/5: Recommended for dogs competing at or above Open/Advanced levels
🪄 Sunday, 12/6: Geared toward Master-level dogs
🪄 TWO full day seminars — no half-day spots
🪄 One spot may be used with two dogs, but Barb strongly recommends focusing on one dog so she can truly tailor the experience to that individual team.

Have two dogs? You can work one dog Saturday and the other Sunday—or take the magic you learn with one teammate and make some magic happen with your other dog at home!

🎩✨ AND NOW FOR OUR NEXT TRICK… ✨🎩

There MAY be an opportunity to add a Friday, December 4 seminar (no promises)! If there is enough interest, Barb may be able to make it happen. Let us know if you’re interested so we can gauge demand.

📍 Dog-On-It Agility Club — Apopka, Florida
📅 December 5–6, 2026
🎟️ Public registration opens October 1!

Spots will be limited, so don’t wait for us to pull a rabbit out of a hat—grab your spot when registration opens! 🐇🎩

Come ready to learn, laugh, challenge yourself, and discover what happens when you combine a great coach with a great dog and a little bit of TEAMWORK MAGIC. ✨🐕💨 We’ll see you on the field!

SATURDAY DECEMBER 5th Morning - BUILDING YOUR REAR CROSS SKILLS
With today’s courses offering more space between obstacles, even the fastest handlers are relying on
rear crosses more often. In this session, you’ll learn how to train your dog to drive ahead of you, when and where to signal, and how to set up a successful rear cross. Barb will cover techniques that build your dog’s confidence as you cross behind, explain why bars may drop or dogs land incorrectly, and show how your path angle influences your dog’s response. You’ll also explore the differences between cueing a soft rear cross and a tight rear cross.

Afternoon - BUILDING YOUR BLIND CROSS SKILLS
Barb was an early adopter of blind crosses in her agility career and later shared her expertise in the
DVD Adding Blind Crosses to Your Handling System. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to avoid common pitfalls, refine your timing, and set effective lines. Barb will also cover precueing strategies, collision prevention, and how blind crosses can serve as efficient, legsaving alternatives to front crosses—all while keeping your dog motivated and engaged.

SUNDAY DECEMBER 6TH - Morning - OUTSIDE TURNS & MORE (MASTER LEVEL) This advanced workshop addresses handling strategies required when the handler is positioned on the outside of the dog’s curve. Instruction will emphasize the mechanics and timing of Tandem Turns, Flicks, and Lap Turns, with applications tailored to Premier and International-style course design. These techniques provide critical solutions for handlers unable to reach key positions in time and serve as efficient alternatives for those with
less running speed. Training sequences will incorporate international-style challenges to reinforce
skill development and application

Afternoon - ADVANCE BACKSIDE MOVES PLUS COURSEWORK (MASTER LEVEL+) This workshop
begins with hands-on training in advanced backside techniques, movements like “The Flick, Snake and
Threadles.” Teams will receive step-by-step guidance and personalized help while working on short
sequences to build precision and fluency. For experienced teams, the emphasis will shift to refining
cues to enhance the dog’s ability to read and respond with accuracy. The session concludes with
coursework designed to apply these advanced skills in practical scenarios, incorporating varied
handling challenges for a comprehensive learning experience.

Full day workshops are $250 Auditing $25

🎉 SPOTLIGHT TIME 🎉

Margaret has been working with Johnny for quite some time. He’s a nervous boy, but he absolutely adores his mama. Through patience, consistency, and a whole lot of love, Margaret has earned his trust — and that trust is what made this milestone possible.

Earning his ACT 1 is a BIG accomplishment — just like Johnny himself — for this team, and it deserves to be celebrated! 🥹👏

There is NO SUCH THING as a “small” title. Because the letters after our dogs’ names don’t tell the whole story. They don’t show the hard work, the sweat, the tears, the setbacks, the tiny breakthroughs, or all the moments when you wondered if you were ever going to get there. They don’t show the countless hours spent building confidence, learning to communicate, and figuring out how to become a better teammate for your dog.

A title that might look “small” to someone else can represent an enormous personal milestone for you and your dog.

Every title represents something different to every team. Sometimes it represents a new skill. Sometimes it represents confidence. Sometimes it represents overcoming fear. Sometimes it represents simply having the courage to step into the ring and try.

And sometimes, it represents the beautiful moment when a dog finally trusts you enough to do something he once couldn’t.

So celebrate those accomplishments. Celebrate the first title, the next title, the hard-earned title, and the title that took everything you had to earn.

Don’t let anyone minimize your accomplishment — and don’t let your own mind convince you that it’s “just a small title.”

You know what it took to get there.

Your dog knows what it took to get there.

And that makes it worth celebrating. ❤️🐾

Congratulations, Margaret & Johnny! We are so proud of you both! 🐾

Looks like the secret’s out… Dog-On-It Agility Club was sniffed out by USA Today! 🔍📰

Our AKC Scent Work Trial from this past weekend was featured in a national news article, highlighting our phenomenal club, talented handlers, and their four-legged companions as they searched high and low for hidden odors (and maybe a few bragging rights 😉) at our Murder Mystery themed event.

We’re so proud to see several of our members and their dogs representing this incredible sport on the national stage. Congratulations to everyone featured—you’ve certainly left your scent on the world! ❤️🐶🔍

Dogs compete in an American Kennel Club scent work trial, tracking hidden odors with impressive skill and determination.

🕵️‍♀️ CASE CLOSED! 🐾🔎

Our Dog-On-It Agility Club AKC Scent Work Trial is officially in the books, and we’re thrilled to report that the mystery has been solved! 🕵️‍♂️🎉

A huge thank you to our incredible judges, Beth Jernigan and Carol Happel, for designing a weekend full of clever clues, challenging searches, and opportunities for every team to put their detective skills to the test. Their thoughtful courses kept noses working and tails wagging from start to finish!

Our trial secretary, Cindy Deak, also deserves a high-note of recognition and gratitude, ensuring a smooth process of handling scores - even with a stressful computer malfunction in the midst of the trial! She went above and beyond to get everything sorted and competitors happy. THANK YOU!! 🫶🏻 Diane Lewis, our trial chair for this event, knocked it outtave the park with putting together the edge-of-your-seat murder mystery and decorations. Such an exhilarating twist of fun woven into this event to make it fabulous and engaging! 🔎

Of course, no great investigation is ever solved by detectives alone. A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to every single volunteer who helped crack the case:
🧼 Our cleanup crew that gave the trial site a spotless start,
🐾 Our gate stewards who kept the investigation running right on schedule,
🫶🏻 Our welcoming faces who made newcomers feel like part of the scent work family,
📋 Our judge assistants who helped every search unfold seamlessly,
🫆 And every single person who pitched in wherever the clues led them.

Because of all of you, this weekend wasn’t just a trial—it was a celebration of teamwork, sportsmanship, and an amazing scent work community. We shared victories, laughs, unforgettable moments, and even uncovered a murderer during our Murder Mystery event! Congratulations to all of our sleuthing teams who pieced together the clues, identified the culprit, and walked away with some really fun prizes! 🏆

Finally, a special shoutout to our talented photographer, Mallory at MB Photography, for documenting so many priceless moments between handlers and their incredible canine detectives. We can’t wait to relive the weekend through your lens!

Until our next investigation… keep those noses sharp, trust your K9 partners, and remember—the best evidence is always found one sniff at a time!
