🔥 ☀️ IT’S GETTING HOT IN HERE ☀️ 🔥

Friendly reminder to NEVER leave your dog in the car during summer or any time of year.

Even on mild days, temperatures inside a vehicle can rise dangerously fast, putting your pet at risk of heatstroke, organ failure, and death within minutes.

If your dog can’t come inside with you, it’s safest to leave them at home. Their comfort and safety are always worth the extra trip. ❤️🐶

What do you notice in these pictures? Only “TIME” will tell. Yep, our hours are 8 to 6 weekdays but you’ll find the NOAH staff working hard and late to be and do what is needed for those in our care. We are so very lucky for the passion, support and “heart” of all of our staff. So thankful for the best doctors and staff!

Good reminder!

Dogs in hot cars can overheat in minutes ☀️

Even on a mild day, temperatures inside a vehicle can rise dangerously fast even in the shade and with windows open.

A quick trip to the shops is never worth the risk. Heatstroke can happen within minutes and can be fatal.

No dog should be left at risk but those most prone to heatstroke include:
• Older or very young dogs
• Flat-faced breeds
• Dogs with thick or heavy coats
• Dogs with underlying health conditions

⚠️ Signs of heatstroke:
• Heavy panting
• Excessive drooling
• Breathing difficulties
• Lethargy or collapse
• Vomiting
• Loss of coordination

If you see a dog in distress or showing signs of heatstroke in a hot car, call Police Scotland on 999 immediately.

☀️ Florida summer heat can make concrete dangerously hot for your pets’ paws in minutes. Even when the air feels warm, sidewalks and asphalt can reach temperatures high enough to cause painful burns.

A simple rule: If it’s too hot for the back of your hand for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for their paws.

To keep pets safe:
• Walk early in the morning or later in the evening
• Stick to grass whenever possible
• Bring water on walks
• Check paws for redness or irritation after time outside

Your pets rely on you to protect them from the heat. Stay safe this summer!

To our neighbors in the Lake Doe Area: Have you seen this dog… he is a one year old chocolate mini Shar Pei who answers to King. Regrettably he got away from his owner hold in our parking lot. We were able to follow his trail down Lake Doe Boulevard, but lost side of him near the lake. If you have seen him or are able to corner him, please call his owner Bruce Kelley at 407-437-6656.
