Have you ever noticed your cat straining to urinate? It can be a sign of a very scary medical condition called a urinary blockage! If you notice your cat straining to urinate and/or not urinating at all, don’t hesitate to contact your primary care veterinarian or an ER. This sweet kitten Mao came in with a urinary obstruction this morning. We promptly got him feeling better with some pain medication, and then proceeded to unblock him before sending him to the ER for overnight monitoring!

Have you ever been in a situation where your pet has been in critical condition and needed emergency surgery? Here at Azalea Veterinary Clinic, we’re not a normal general practice clinic. Every one of our employees has extensive emergency training and are equipped to handle those more critical cases. Our motto at Azalea is to provide reasonably priced care and to give pet owners transparency up front. We also understand that emergency veterinary care can be an unexpected cost, so we offer several financing options to make it as easy as possible to get the care your pet needs. Everyone say hi to one of our newest patients, Finley! He is the most handsome Golden Retriever. He came into see us for his annual wellness check up, but had an ear infection and a hot spot that needed to be tended to as well! Thanks to our open concept clinic, Mom stayed with him the whole time and held him while we cleaned & treated his ears, and then shaved & cleaned his hot spot. Finley was all smiles the whole visit and we can’t wait to see him again soon!

Here at Azalea Veterinary Clinic, we value our feline patients just as much as our canine ones! One of the fun features of being a feline patient at our clinic is our cat only exam rooms! We’ve prioritized their happiness and comfort by putting in cat shelves, water fountains, feliway diffusers, cat scratch posts, and window perches. Bring your cat by for routine wellness care, or even a happy visit to get them accustomed to the clinic. Did I mention we have churu?
