Today is 🐾🚨 National Pet Carbon Monoxide Safety Day! 🚨🐾 Because Carbon Monoxide is completely odorless, tasteless, and invisible, our furry family members rely on us to protect them from this silent threat.
Being that they’re smaller than we are and spend more time close to the floor, they can be especially vulnerable.

Here are 3 quick steps you can take today to keep your pets safe:
1. Check Your Detectors: Make sure you have working CO detectors installed on every level of your home
2. Know the Warning Signs: Sudden weakness, lethargy, unsteadiness, uncharacteristic vomiting, bright red gums, or sudden behavioral changes are red flags.
3. Have an Evacuation Plan: If your alarm goes off or you suspect a leak, get ALL humans and pets out into fresh air immediately before calling emergency services. Never leave a pet inside to "wait and see."

🐾💛 Happy Adopt-a-Less-Adoptable-Pet Week! 💛🐾

I have a pretty big soft spot for the pets who need a little extra patience, understanding, and love. 🥹🐶

Not every pet is going to be the first one chosen. Some are seniors. Some have medical or special needs. Some are nervous, shy, or have a little extra baggage from their past. And some have simply been waiting longer than they should have to.

But “less adoptable” does NOT mean less lovable. ❤️

Sometimes the pet who needs a little more from you ends up giving you more love than you ever imagined. 🐾

If you’re looking to add a furry family member, consider looking beyond the “norm”You may just find your perfect match in the one everyone else passed by.

And if adoption isn’t in your plans right now, there are still SO many ways to help ,share a rescue post, donate supplies, volunteer, foster, or simply help spread the word about a pet waiting for their person.
