Well I think summer is finally going to be here, at least I hope it is. So more time to have fun with the dogs, swimming, adventuring and playing!
Our next sessions coming up in June/July:
Beyond Basic/Fit and Conditioning on June 22nd 5: 30PM
Beginner/Adv Beginner Agility June 22, 6:30PM (must have had Beyond Basic)
And starting July 10th:
Basic/Puppy Obedience at 6:30
Rally Obedience at 7:30
It's going to be a great summer!!!

Congratulations to our Friday night Beyond Basic/ Fit class.
Barb Hain and Bandida(and Mr. Barb) and Tessa Pooley and Ivy. These are really fun dogs and fun people, love working with them. K.I.T.A. also wants to congratulate her best friends too because they both earned their FIT Level 1 certificate!! Looking forward to the next class!!!!

Howdy Folks, Now that Spring is finally here, I think.. want to let you all know about the new sessions coming up here soon it's been a busy year so far!
Beyond Basic Obedience/ Fit and Conditioning class will be starting up Monday April 27th, 5:30PM ( You'll earn your AKC Fit certificates (levels 1,2 & 3,) and if you want to you can earn your CGC and AKC Trick titles as well in this fun class)
Foundation Agility, April 27th, 6:30PM(must have had Beyond Basic as a pre-requisite)
Basic Obedience/STAR Puppy will be starting May 8th, 6:30PM
And Rally Obedience May 8th at 7:30PM
And .........don't forget about out May 9/10 NADAC trial! We'll be playing outside both days enjoying some fresh air and having fun with our dogs. Bernie Doyle is coming up to judge for us and our own Nathan Bortolotti will be there taking some action shots of your pups! He takes awesome pics!

We just finished up the first session of 2026 and all I can say is Wow! Below is a picture of our Beyond Basic Fit and Conditioning class. Last night we did Canine Good Citizen testing and AKC Trick testing. These folks have been working towards this since the beginning of the year. Here's a wrap up of what they accomplished, From left to right: Crystal Beller and 9 month old Thrym, Level 2 Canine Fit, CGC and Novice Trick, Jennifer Voss and Oso, Level 1 Canine Fit, CGC and Novice Trick, Marilyn Diehl and Quincy, Level 2 Canine Fit and Novice Trick, Beth Bortolotti and Oreo, Level 2 Canine Fit and Advanced Trick, Nathan Bortolotti and Scout, Level 1 Canine Fit and both Novice and Intermediate Trick.( Oreo and Scout earned their CGC's a while back.) Their love and trust in their dogs along with their patience, clarity, calmness and consistency I can't wait to see what the rest of 2026 holds - I am so proud of you! Keep up the great work, dream big and reach for the stars!!

I hope you have been enjoying the "early" spring weather! Now that the pups can be running and playing finally, at least for a while.
Here's what'c coming up -Our new sessions will be starting the first week of March.
Monday March 2nd at 5:30PM - Beyond Basic Obedience/Fit Conditioning - we offer CGC testing and AKC Trick testing in this class as well. The dogs have a really fun time in this class, there's so much to do!!
And also Monday March 2nd at 6:30PM - Foundations Agility(Beyond/Fit is a pre-requisite).
Friday March 13th- 6:30PM Basic/Puppy Obedience
Also Friday March 13th 7:30PM - Rally Obedience

Agility folks, mark your calendars for May 9th & 10th is our Spring NADAC Trial. Bernie Doyle is our judge and entries are open now! Outdoors on our field, fully fenced/gated, we'd love to have you come and join us! Hope to see you soon!

Hi Folks! Hoping you had a great Christmas! We're on break til January 4th so wanted to let you all know what's in store for 2026.
We're back to classes on Monday January 5th and have re arranged our schedule just a bit. We're leaving our weekends free for adventures, etc.
Our Beyond Basic class will be starting Monday January 5th at 5:30. Besides Int/Adv obedience skills, this class will include Canine Fit(all levels), CGC prep/test and Trick tests for those who want.

Foundation Agility(for those that have completed Beyond Basic or Canine Fit Level 1) is now Monday at 6:30 starting January 5th as well.

Our Basic Obedience/STAR Puppy class will be starting Friday January 9th at 6:30
and our Rally Obedience class will be starting the same night at 7:30.
Just send us a message or give us a call, we'll get right back to you.
We'll be having our usual May and October NADAC trials, watch for info on those as well.
After 25 years of doing what I love, I am looking forward to the next 25!

Now that 2025 is coming to a close, I figured I had little catching up to do before it's over. This year we celebrated our Silver Anniversary of Candy's Canines! Our Christmas Party was amazing, a good friend told me it was the best one yet! We were joined by old friends and new friends and family, Laura, Greg, Liam, Alyssa & John and the girls, & Grampa, it was perfect. I want to thank all of you who made this a very special year for us, especially my Superheroes: Mary Ann who keeps us organized, neat and tidy, our VT/ trial coordinators, Crystal and Jooly, who are amazing course builders and equipment managers and Amy Jo, our resident chef,who keeps us all fed with her home made cooking! You guys keep me grounded, thank you! Thanks to Steven Kalter who got our Snowball Fight 2025 going. Not sure who was more tuckered out, my grandaughters, Kylie, Penelope, Payton & Quinn, or Steve, lol. They were relentless, I did get a few throws in, not very well aimed all the time. It's really hard to aim when they're hiding under a table, lol Lots of good food and fun was had by all. I think it was close to midnight by the time we were done. Thanks to the folks who helped with all the decorating the last couple of weeks and with set up(thanks to my son John the Younger for picking up/hauling the tables and chairs, and Grampa John) and to the folks that did all the clean up, you all are amazing, if you didn't know that already. We graduated our last class of the year with the Beyond Basic/Canine Fit class. Congratulations to Beth and Oreo, Marilyn and Quincy, Nathan and Fozzi and Crystal and "puppy" Thrym on earning their AKC Fit Level 1's! Last but not least a huge congratulations to our 2025 Students of the Year, Denise Cusamano Amber and Joan Haug and Lucy! I am so proud of each and every one of our students this year, your patience, dedication and friendship has been an inspiration and I am truly blessed to be surrounded by so many incredible people. It's why I love what I do! I can't wait to see what adventures await in 2026! Thank you all for an amazing 2025.
