Some photos from the rodeo! Everyone did such a good job and we had so many of the kids beating their best scores!!! Scores and videos coming later! It was a crazy day but we are incredibly blessed that everyone made it home safe and sound at the end of the day. Natasha took a tumble helping get Cupcake into the chute and she got checked out at the ER and thankfully only strained some things and didnt have anything broken. Then on the way home one of the students and her family hit a loose black cow that darted across the road. Thankfully they were ok and safe and were able to get home safely. And all of this after another girl had a riding accident as well at the rodeo, we are keeping her in our thoughts and prayers that she makes a full recovery. It was just such a crazy day but everyone made it home safe and sound and at the end of the day that is the most we can ask for. Thank you so much to all the amazing families who help make the youth rodeo happen. Its such a blessing to be able to be surrounded by such amazing people!

I had surgery yesterday and it was a better outcome than originally anticipated. They removed the bone fragments in my knee that were restricting it from bending and straightening correctly. Then they did a full ACL replacement. They were also planning on fixing and trimming my meniscus as needed but it turned out that the severity of my tear caused it to go into the blood flow area which allowed my meniscus to heal itself completely with the 48 days of healing I did between the Injury and my surgery. So st least the time I spent off my leg was worth it long term! Now I start the grueling process of my ACL rehab. Incredibly thankful for my amazing surgeon Dr.Roche up at UF Sports Orthopedic Surgery Center. Today I start my PT and also get to see the images and videos from when my surgery was happening which I am super excited about seeing. I know PT will be a long grueling process but I am very thankful to be on the recovery side of things. Currently the nerve block is slowly wearing off but so far the pain is nominal and im doing really good!!!

I havent been posting as much as normal recently as I have been dealing with pain due to a broken knee with severely damaged ligaments and tendons. I have surgery scheduled for this upcoming Monday and I am so excited to be back up and mobile and back down to start teaching again soon!! I am so incredibly thankful for Ivy, Lilly and Ondine for taking over teaching and keeping everything running smoothly while I have been laid up. We had an awesome summer of horsemanship lessons and will be restarting those again in the fall after we have a better gauge on my knee after surgery. Another amazing milestone our program has reached is that we have officially surpassed 100 lesson students signed up on our online scheduling platform. A while ago we changed up what we wanted to focus on and lessons and expanding our lesson program is what we really wanted to focus on. Having lesson horses and a beginner program that focuses on the fundamentals as well as bringing joy to the kids and adults who ride with us. And we couldn't be happier with the growth and expansion of our program. This summer wouldn't have been possible without our new booking platform and without our amazing assistant instructors. We are still working on figuring out how to add new things and sort out kinks with our new booking platform. But we are so incredibly thankful for each family that comes and rides with us!!! Here is a photo compilation from throughout the summer and is so minor compared to the amount of students we have taught. We are looking forward to the fall, cooler weather and enjoying ponies!!!! ❤️

My husband had to hop on a red eye flight wendsday morning due to a family emergency and my mom came up to help me function as much as I can. Wendsday morning my knee made a pop noise and I called to talk to the ortho surgeon about it. They told me that unless I break my tibia or femur there isnt much left in my knee I can damage since ive damaged everything else 😂😂 I have 25 days until I have surgery for a full ACl replacement and any repairs of everything else they will do once they are in there. In the mean time my knee will just get to make fun noises and exist as the acl wiggles around and the bine chunks free float in my knee. With this knowledge and the fact that the ring needed to get drug I was able to physically lift myself up far enough on the tractor to get my right foot on the floor board and then it was smooth sailing from there to drag the ring! Got most of it drug and smoothed out. Still waiting on a couple of puddles to dry before those spots can be drug. It felt good to be helpful and get the ring prepped and ready for everyone to use during the second half of the weeks lessons.
