Bruce is a solid show partner for a youth or amateur looking for a horse that can do it all! He had a successful career in the reining with both amateur and youth riders winning money in the NRHA. Since he has been with us he has become a solid all around ranch horse. He has successfully competed in all 3 ranch events and as well as the Versatility Ranch Horse classes in both Open and Rookie Amateur. He has shown lightly in the boxing and competed at this year’s AQHA VRH world show in the open and rookie amateur ranch trail as well as the AQHA Level 1 Championships in Ranch Riding and Ranch Trail. He is easy to operate and fun to show, safe as can be and up for anything! Even can pack the little ones around in the leadline or walk/trot. He’s sound and built to last. Overall just a pleasure of a gelding! Would love to keep him in the program.

I wanted to just give a shout out to these two amazing young women!
Avelina Archuleta and Shaelyn McCleery have been the backbone of K Reid Performance Horses Ave for almost 3 years and Shae for coming up on 2 years. They have been a huge asset to my business bringing their energy and enthusiasm to everything that we do. Furthering their horsemanship skills every day and always going the extra mile to take such excellent care of our horses.
I am so proud of both of them and everything they have accomplished and continue to do.
We are incredibly blessed to have them and I just wanted to extend a big thank you to them!
This job isn’t easy, it comes with long hours, hot days, cold mornings, but they always show up and have such great attitudes.

AQHA VRH World Championship Show and L1 Championships 🏆🐮🐴

With top 20 placings in Jr. Ranch Reining, Jr. Ranch Riding, and Open Ranch Conformation in HUGE competitive classes with over 45 horses. Sonny’s versatility really shined through all of his classes. What a special horse he is!

Placing 16th in a tough pen of L1 Select Ranch Riding, only one spot shy of the finals and 17th in the Rookie Ranch Riding! Mary and Sonny are becoming such an excellent team they will be in the winners circle in no time!

Top 20 placing in a top tier VRH Senior Ranch Trail with a top 10 under one judge out of 58 horses! Bruce really impressed me with his performance at this show with not only myself by Shelly as well.

Shelly had some of her best go’s to date in the L1 Select and Rookie ranch riding, small bobbles kept them out of the top placings but they really showed their very best. Shelly also got to really challenge herself in the VRH Rookie Ranch Trail where she had to rope a dummy, ride through a pen of cattle and even jump a big log and she conquered it all!

Steve and Flynn ventured into the show pen together for the first time as a team. Flynn’s second time showing ever and Steve getting back to the show pen after a 5 year hiatus and they really shined! 3 year old Flynn’s future is so bright!
