I don’t even want to share this because to even imagine what was going on in this place for so much to go wrong is outside of my ability to grasp how this could happen. We can all speculate but at the end of the day, the human accepting payment to care for the voiceless is responsible for their care. If she had other things going on it was her responsibility to STOP boarding and get her own issues together. With that said this is why I have cameras in every area inside and out, I send daily pictures, I send text updates, I watch for behavioral changes so I can ensure each dog is comfortable. I offer FaceTime calls with pets and their parents and I never charge extra to make sure your dog gets the medication, attention, exercise and rest they need. I live on site and my AC unit in the kennel is able to be controlled from my phone so I can ensure it’s always operating. I can never promise a mistake will not be made here but I am small on purpose because I know what I can handle and what is fair to your dog. Hug your babies a little tighter and don’t be afraid to ask the hard questions if something seems weird.

Day 8 introducing our personal crew. We are a little late as our family suffered an unexpected tragedy over the past week. Baby 8 is Dori! She came to us as Edith but immediately jumped in the pool and showed us her fish talents so naturally she was supposed to be Dori. She loves water, she loves to get dirty, she likes to chase and grab little dogs (no no Dori), she loves to catch chickens when we aren’t watching (naughty girl) and she’s afraid of the goats. She acts big and bad and finds it funny when she scares the other dogs. They think she is a lunatic. She is in kidney failure so although she was meant to be a foster we have dedicated our lives to help see her through this in the best way possible. Meet Dori the b***y biter!

Day 7 introducing our personal pack! Meet Bleu also known as Bleu Boogie or Auntie’s baby! Bleu came to us this year in January. His mom passed away from cancer in December and Bleu fell ill and needed immediate medical attention. We went and picked him up and quickly realized his situation was dire. He had a mass that had been open and bleeding out for quite some time. He was severely anemic and needed an emergency blood transfusion. He had surgery the following day to remove the mass. It was sent out for testing and to our dismay came back positive for Hemangiosarcoma. His mytotic count is high and life expectancy is not long. We have taken him off commercial dog food. He is cooked for with 80% of his diet coming from protein. He’s on turkey tail, daily cancer support vitamins as well as Yunnan baiyao for support of his blood. We will keep him healthy and happy for as long as we can and when he tells us it’s time to go we will listen.

Day 6 of sharing our personal crew! Meet Nellie! Nellie aka “Dirt bike” gets her nickname from the way she runs and zips around mimicking a little dirt bike. This little girl came to us from a situation where a child’s father was going to dump all of the dogs in the woods and she reached out to someone for help and that person reached out to several people to step in. Nellie came dirty, full of fleas and confused but quickly settled in. She was intended to be a quick foster because who wouldn’t want a cute little fluff ball? However, she quickly made her place known in our pack and when we saw her assert herself to the King of dogs in our house (Winston) and he respected her authority, we said she has to stay. Sooooo here she is being a little dirt bike. She is the only little one in our house and rules them all.

Day 5 of sharing our personal crew. Meet AJ the foster fail with multiple personality disorder 🤣. He was supposed to be an easy to adopt one year old golden but he had other plans. Due to poor breeding and older owners who were not equipped with the ability to handle a difficult puppy, he became unmanageable and was surrendered. He went through two trainers who basically said he isn’t wired right and will need owners who give him consistency and stability and can recognize his triggers and work around them. We decided for his safety to keep him forever rather than attempt to place him and having failed placements and more trauma.

Cody aka Fatta Chunk aka Privileged came to us as a rescue on July 4, 2018. He was supposed to be here as a safe landing over the 4th of July weekend and then taken to the shelter. Tricked us! We quickly realized that he had behaviors that would make someone rage out on him so we decided to hold on to him to work on the behaviors and then adopt him out. He spent an entire YEAR on a leash and often tied to our waist. During this time our lab was diagnosed with cancer and passed away. He was only calm when he was near her. We realized he needed to stay. He is now our EVERYTHING and the 24/7 companion to our granddaughter. Sadly our family has suffered a tragic loss this week which makes his role in her life more important than ever. Meet the EVERYTHING to EVERYONE!

Day 3 of our personal pack introductions. This is Buddy. He came to us as an urgent rescue. Apparently had lived on a farm with goats and chickens and was left by owners and going to be shot if someone didn’t get him. We took him in but was not told he had been chained to a tree with no human interaction before we got him. We released him in our field with the goats and it took over 6 months for us to get our hands on him. Once we did, he quickly became a mama’s boy. He loves being outside with his goats but ooooohhhhh weeeeee if he hears his mama (me) he’s coming and wants to be wherever I am. Meet Buddy the protector of all with the most amazing kind soul I have ever encountered.

Day 2 of introducing our pack! Kiyah also known as “Beanie” (don’t ask me…..I told yall we have nicknames around here) anyway, Kiyah is MY baby! She’s mama’s girl. She is solid, predictable, kind, playful, trustworthy (except with baby chicks 🤦‍♀️) and just overall the dog everyone would wish for.

Over the next few days we are going to take time to introduce you to our personal crew. We will start with Bruce who is also affectionately know as “Pop Pop”. Every dog here has a nickname and some make sense and other don’t. Bruce is called Pop Pop because he is our grandbaby and knows grandma and Pop pop as his humans. Well, because he’s Pop pop’s boy we just call him Pop Pop and yes he responds! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
