while we had all of the hope in the world, sometimes things aren’t meant to be.

we are saddened to say that Grigio did not take to her TCI and we will not be expecting puppies come May.

so much went into this entire process and I’m so thankful for every person and veterinary facility that made it as “easy” as possible. we’re extremely thankful for Frank and Nicole for giving us the opportunity to continue producing puppies that resemble both our Grigio and their Nino, even if the outcome was not in our favor. 🤎

let the wait for puppy confirmation begin 🤍✨

we are crossing all of our paws, ears, tails, bows (literally everything) in hopes of a successful TCI. come early April we will be able to tell via ultrasound if Grigio will be expecting in May with our stud from Germany 🤍
we will keep everyone updated!

the queen had almost daily visits to our repro vet for the last week and a half and she soaked up every ounce of attention and treats they had to offer! 🐾🥰

SURPRISE, WE’VE BEEN KEEPING A SECRET 🤎

For the last year I have been searching continuously for a stud for our next litter. I knew I wanted a dog with foreign lines, that complimented Grigio in every way, from personality, to looks, build, and genetic makeup. This was not easy, that is for sure. It took extensive research, time and communiction. After finding what I felt to be the perfect fit for her, the process started. He is from Germany which in turn meant frozen samples were needed to be shipped over. While artificial insemination is not guarenteed, just like anything else, we were willing to at least try. We ran into so many road blocks ranging from shipping delays, our government being shut down, issues with return labels based on new US regulations, and difficulty finding shipping companies to have it here in a proper time frame. The breeder and veterinary team in Germany were nothing but amazing to work with and extremely efficient with having things done properly. This process from when we made the go on a decision of this stud took MONTHS. Im sure I’ve gained many gray hairs.

With that being said IT IS HERE. 🤎 It has arrived safely and is currently being stored at our veterinary office for when Grigio goes into heat next.

With the delays that have occurred, timing was unfortunately not in our favor for a fall litter, but we will be expecting come spring (as long as we have a successful outcome with her taking to the samples). We’re keeping all of our fingers, toes, paws, and tails crossed!

Our Stud is a beautiful brown boy from Germany with history of championship showings, proper genetic clearances, and an extraordinary build. I have no doubts that they will compliment eachother in every way.
