We had an overwhelming response to our photography contest for this coming upland season which has forced some rule changes.
Before I get to the rule changes though, I must thank everyone who submitted photos of their dogs. I had a smile on my face the entire time looking at them and thinking about all it takes to get to these moments.
Concerning the rules, not much has changed. Each picture must contain a bird dog and a wild bird. That's it for entry.
Because many rule non-followers exist in our ranks I've been forced to enact strict protocols to get things under control.
1. Any picture submitted without both a wild bird and dog will require the sender to provide their last three years of OnX data. If I have to zoom more than 500x to see the bird, five years of OnX data.
2. Any picture with a domestic bird being passed off as a wild bird will result in banishment and fines equal to no less than the cost of a 30 day combo red stag and Salmon trip for two.
3. Because of the volume of photos, The esteemed photo judging board will select the top three photos monthly through March 2027 when we will select one winner.
To submit photos, reply to the monthly contest post for the appropriate month on Instagram or Facebook.
Had my friend Clay (williamson_onthewing) submitted this photo, he would have met all criteria and been held in high regard. Be like Clay.
Good luck out there!
