St. Margaret's Pony Club Welcome to the St. Margaret's Pony Club page! We're based in Anne Arundel County, MD. We think riding is Fun! St. Team members help each other.

Pony Club is a great place to not only learn riding skills, and care of horses and ponies, but to have fun learning and participation in many riding sports. Our riding sports include Dressage, Eventing, Mounted Games, Polocrosse, Show Jumping, and Tetrathlon. Margaret's members also enjoy a Regional Summer Camp, an annual Horse Swim, Fox Hunting, and our traditional round robin event. Our first competition of the year is the popular unmounted knowledge competition called Quiz. Pony Club members participate in these sports in team competitions called rallies, which help them learn the importance of cooperation and friendship. At rallies, there is no help from parents. There are rallies and Championships every two years. Plus every two years, Festival is held; an event that combines Championships and an educational program held at the Kentucky Horse Park. Pony Club members progress through a standard evaluation system called Certifications. Each level requires them to learn more about horses and their care and to become increasingly accomplished riders. Pony Club believes that safety and the care of the horse - Horse Management - should be primary goals for all riders.

Despite being a draft cross, Raven has excelled at eventing with both Donald and his son in the irons. Donald has figured out a training and conditioning plan that suits Raven, and he gets to seeing his friendly gelding show off his intelligent, honest and athletic nature as they earn top results at Training level.

Our junior member Chloe made the last delivery for our pre-sold Eventing jump measuring sticks yesterday to a favorite local rider and clinician Meghan O'Donoghue Eventing. 2026 USPC Championships

Competition Day 3 - Chloe and Sofia had their turn on the cross country course and Leah completed the Tetrathlon running phase. Once each discipline finished we gathered for the awards ceremonies. We are so proud of the horsemanship and sportsmanship demonstrated by SMPC members this week!

2026 USPC Championships

Competition Day 2 - It was a GOOD day!! Boo finished up his championship run with a double clear cross country round, Chloe and Sofia were both double clear in their stadium jumping rounds, Leah was clear with a near perfect time in her final Tetrathlon jumping round and she put in a strong swim time at the pool. Final rounds and results to come tomorrow for all!

2026 USPC Championships Lexington Kentucky

Competition Day 1-
St. Margaret’s has four club members competing this week. Boo, Sofia, and Chloe are competing in Eventing. Today all three rode their dressage tests and Boo also completed his show jumping round. Leah is competing in Tetrathlon and completed her first jumping round and the shooting phase. Congratulations to all on a great first day of competition!
