🌟 STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Meet Brittany! 🌟
If your pet has stayed with us, there’s a good chance they’ve been cared for by Brittany!
Brittany is our Kennel Manager and has been part of the GAVH family for over 10 years! While you’ll most often find her keeping things running smoothly in our kennel, she also occasionally lends a hand in other areas of the hospital, including CSR roles, whenever she’s needed. Her story with GAVH actually started long before she worked here. As a kid, her stepmom worked at the hospital and Brittany loved coming along with her dad to pick her up after her shifts. Years later, while looking for a seasonal college job, she applied for a position in our kennel and the rest is history! What started as a seasonal job turned into a career she’s incredibly grateful for.
One of Brittany’s favorite parts of her job is working alongside some of her favorite people every day but she especially loves the relationships she builds with our “frequent flyer” boarding pets. She gets to know them well and truly cares for them like they’re her own.
🐶 Favorite patients: Terriers! While everyone assumes she’s a French Bulldog girl, Brittany has a soft spot for Jack Russells and Cairn Terriers.
🐾 At home: Brittany has Giuseppe, a bulldog mix she adopted from Animal Control three years ago. His favorite activities include long naps under a blanket and inhaling just about any food offered to him.
📚 Outside of GAVH: You can usually find Brittany reading a fantasy novel or baking something delicious.
🍬 Favorite treat: Sour candy! And right now, she’s on a serious Swedish candy kick!
And something you might never guess? Brittany was actually afraid of most dogs as a child! She’s certainly come a long way from those days.
