INKY
9 month old male
~ 41 lbs (and growing!)
Good with: Children 10+, dogs; cats unknown
Needs: Single family home, physical fence
House trained? He says so (but we recommend plenty of potty opportunities)
Crate trained? Yes

Status: Available; needs foster or forever home. To foster, visit:
http://lab-rescue.org/volunteer
Working on: Young dog obedience
Enjoys: Tennis balls, car rides, chew toys

Private Inky reporting for duty! We just love this young pup’s focus. It’ll come in handy when he transitions to his new home and starts obedience training. This little sweetheart was adopted as a tiny puppy but unexpected health issues made it difficult for his humans to care for him so he is back with Lab Rescue. A kennel is no place for a young pup, so Inky has put out an S-O-S for a foster or adopter to come get him. Like all young pups, he’ll need plenty of exercise and stimulation along with appropriate boundaries in his new home, but he’s more than ready to join your unit.

FIONA
7 year old female
~ 63 lbs
Good with: Children 10+, dogs; no cats or small furries
Needs: Single family home, physical fence
House trained? Yes
Crate trained? Yes

Status: Available; in foster
Working on: Almost nothing!
Enjoys: Being outdoors, playing frisbee, cuddling and supervising her humans

Oh, joy! That’s the feeling of being outdoors with Fiona. Don’t get us wrong: she has impeccable indoor manners and loves to snuggle with her humans and be consulted about everything they do. But in her heart of hearts, she’s an outdoorsy girl who loves to play frisbee and chase squirrels in the yard, or take hikes with her humans and share her love of nature. Her joy is contagious. Being outdoors is better with a wagging tail!

CHARLES
2 year old male
~ 59 lbs
Good with: Children 10+, dogs; cats unknown
Needs: Single family home, physical fence
House trained? Yes
Crate trained? Yes

Status: Available; in foster
Working on: Keeping four on the floor, not mouthing people when he’s excited
Enjoys: Walks, people, playtime, car rides

Proudly wearing the “VET FAVORITE” badge this week: Charles! This young boy charmed the entire vet staff but full disclosure: it wasn’t with his manners. Charles needs a little work on impulsivity when he’s excited, as he still has a young dog tendency to jump up and get a little mouthy. But how can you not love a dog who wakes up everyday with a smile on his face, loves everyone he meets and is up for anything? You can train for better manners but not for a better temperament. This handsome, affectionate pupper is going to be the full Lab package.

LITTLE JOE & MARKIE

Good with: Children 10+, dogs; cats unknown
Need: Single family home, physical fence. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.
House trained? Yes

Working on: Becoming more sociable with strangers by the day!
Enjoy: Each other and their foster family, treats, pets, other dogs, pretzeling together

If you’ve been following these pages, you know that Little Joe (LJ) and Markie have been with us for awhile. Traumatized by witnessing the deaths of their mom and siblings, they clung to each other like shipwrecked sailors. It’s time to bring them home. They are adorable, funny, easy to care for and great with other dogs. They are extremely loving with their foster family and a circle of familiar visitors, and now they greet strangers, too (though Markie prefers to hang back and let LJ do the talking). Do you have what this special pair needs? A quieter lifestyle, fenced yard, plenty of treats and a little patience while they settle in will win their gentle little hearts.

LAB RESCUE IS OFFERING AN EXTRA 200. TOTAL FEE FOR THE COMBINED PAIR IS $350.
