Tamlin and Andi enjoyed having a trip back "home" to Connecticut! They got to meet up with Unun and a few of their friends! Tamlin enjoyed seeing the ocean and exploring the forest for the first time, while Andi enjoyed getting back to his New England roots.

I realized i haven't introduced my keeper puppy from our co-bred litter with Red Cedar Icelandic Sheepdogs and Norrbottenspets!

Meet Red Cedar 4Leaf Half Wild Beast "Tamlin"

Tamlin is everything I was hoping for out of Andi. He is sassy, fun, confident, and has met no strangers. At only 15 weeks old he already has a Best Puppy in Show under his belt!

He has big shoes to fill, but i have zero doubts he will go above and beyond my expectations. His future will hopefully include many sports and a titles, but for now we are enjoying just being a puppy!

I still cannot find the right words to describe how I feel. Proud, honored, grateful, none of them feel right. All I know is I brought home the best dog in the show!

He is officially retired from the show ring, but watch for his puppies from Red Cedar Icelandic Sheepdogs and Norrbottenspets!

Many people are surprised to learn that Icelandic Sheepdogs are supposed to have double rear dewclaws! Per the standard, dogs should have at least single declaws on all four feet, but doubles on the rear are desired. Doubles on the front can occur. You can see in this photo of a newborn Icelandic puppy how sturdy their dewclaws are - they have their own pads and are attached by bone. This helps them maintain balance and agility in the rough, cliffy terrain in Iceland.
