Lone Star Dog Ranch & Dog Ranch Rescue The Lone Star Dog Ranch is a one of a kind cage free boarding facility 30 minutes north of Dallas in Anna, Texas. The rescue's website is dogranchrescue.com

Here dogs are free to play, swim, sleep, and be loved as they wish, all day. There are many things about Lone Star Dog Ranch that make it
unique and better than any other daycare or boarding facility. We are truly one of a kind. We are a completely social facility. The only time your dog will be confined is for meals and sleep. The rest of their time is theirs to enjoy themselves while you are awa

y enjoying yourself. Dogs are free to swim, play with other dogs, lay under a shade tree, sleep on the couch in the air conditioning or go back to bed and be alone if they want. They can choose to go inside the ranch building or outside anytime they want. We are an all inclusive facility. We don’t charge any extra for playtime, extra hugs, one on one time, swimming, laptime, special food, medication or any other special requirement. Everything is included in the boarding and day care rates. All dogs that stay with us must pass our evaluation to ensure that they can get along with everyone. For this reason we also require that all dogs be spayed or neutered

Lone Star Dog Ranch is family owned and operated and all of us live on the property. The dogs are never left unattended. The care here is unmatched anywhere. Dog Ranch Rescue is a completely separate entity from Lone Star Dog Ranch. It began in 2015 and The Village Sanctuary building housing the rescues is on the same 32 acres. Sorry it's so late but I didnt want to close the page until I could share everything with you.

It's been a hell of a rollercoaster day, I swear this dog is trying to kill me. I've had about 5 phone calls from the operating room, the tube they tried to vacuum with was too small for the rocks, and the bigger one was too large for her esophagus, we opted to just open her up. He got all the rocks and what we feared was real, the rocks had entered her pylorus, he was able to get those. He then called me back to tell me that as he is looking around in there her spleen was gigantic and blood filled and felt like it needed to come out, I told him to do it. He then called and asked me if I wanted biopsies of her intestines but with doing that there was a 10% chance the incision wouldn't heal. I said no, I do not want a septic dog, shes going through enough right now, I am not adding to that at this point. He then called me to ask me if I wanted him to pexy her stomach in place, I said yes. He then called some time later and said he found that part of her duodenum was adhered to her liver, so he had to detach that. He said her stomach was trying to twist and her blood pressure dropped at one point, he was able to get that back up. They took out a total of 26 rocks I do believe, I told them not to throw them away, keep them for me. He said her poor stomach was just so terribly inflamed, I feel terrible for her and how bad she has had to feel. The good news is he does think her stomach will shrink, and he does think she will recover from this. He is so kind, he isn't going to charge me for the splenectomy or the gastropexy which is just huge. I cannot recommend them enough. This hospital is called Revive, it's an ER and a specialty hospital and I started there to see the internist but I have ended up with their team for a such a difficult complicated situation. Dr. Kishore is who has been operating on her and keeping me apprised the whole time. I am forever grateful and feel like I can take a breath for a moment. I am unsure how long she will be in the hospital but I look forward to getting my naughty, silly, hilarious nutty girl back home with me.

We saw him in the local shelter, gorgeous and chocolate, he looks mostly like a Bordeaux, but he is not because they don't come in chocolate. We have had two like this in the past, Hannah and Juliet.

Simply put he is gorgeous, Emma picked him up yesterday, he is emaciated, he has defensive bite wounds, and scars on his face and neck and front legs. He is sick with heart worms, most likely has entropian with his eyes and will need surgery. I am sure he will be sick in no time from an upper respiratory infection from the shelter. He was very pleasant with other dogs at the shelter in a play group.

We could really really use some donations to help us cover his expenses, would you be able to toss a few bucks his way, it would be very much appreciated.
