Lone Star Dog Ranch & Dog Ranch Rescue

Lone Star Dog Ranch & Dog Ranch Rescue The Lone Star Dog Ranch is a one of a kind cage free boarding facility 30 minutes north of Dallas in Anna, Texas. The rescue's website is dogranchrescue.com

Here dogs are free to play, swim, sleep, and be loved as they wish, all day. There are many things about Lone Star Dog Ranch that make it
unique and better than any other daycare or boarding facility. We are truly one of a kind. We are a completely social facility. The only time your dog will be confined is for meals and sleep. The rest of their time is theirs to enjoy themselves while you are awa

y enjoying yourself. Dogs are free to swim, play with other dogs, lay under a shade tree, sleep on the couch in the air conditioning or go back to bed and be alone if they want. They can choose to go inside the ranch building or outside anytime they want. We are an all inclusive facility. We don’t charge any extra for playtime, extra hugs, one on one time, swimming, laptime, special food, medication or any other special requirement. Everything is included in the boarding and day care rates. All dogs that stay with us must pass our evaluation to ensure that they can get along with everyone. For this reason we also require that all dogs be spayed or neutered

Lone Star Dog Ranch is family owned and operated and all of us live on the property. The dogs are never left unattended. The care here is unmatched anywhere. Dog Ranch Rescue is a completely separate entity from Lone Star Dog Ranch. It began in 2015 and The Village Sanctuary building housing the rescues is on the same 32 acres. All inquiries about rescue dogs is handled by email at [email protected] and the website for the rescue is dogranchrescue.com. Please don’t call Lone Star Dog Ranch for questions about the rescue, you will be sent to the email address above to correspond with any questions about Dog Ranch Rescue.

I gave up and moved Caboose out to the garage to eat with Wallace. She’s just too messy and needs an environment that is not inside my house. 😂

Giant bowl, wipeable mat, and some linoleum pieces installed above her bowl for easy wiping and this solves the issue for me. She is the messiest dog I’ve ever fed and cleaning the wall and floor inside the laundry room is just not working for me.

Bonus is that eating next to Wallace leads her to eating faster because she’s not only messy but she’s incredibly slow while being incredibly messy.

It’s been almost ten years between adoptions, and we’re already excited for the next decade to pass so we can welcome Kamrin Ortega of Littleton, CO, back again. In February 2017, Kamrin and Joseph adopted Oboe—now Ollie—and recently reached out hoping to find him a new playmate after he lost his best friend. Honey immediately stood out as the perfect match.

We had a feeling she wouldn’t be with us long. She’s incredibly cute, and she has that particular “look” that a certain member of the Eden family is always drawn to. Still, Honey was destined for Kamrin and Joseph.

When we were coordinating her adoption date, Kamrin texted that she hit the road at 4:30 AM. Her mom, Lynn, who lives in Texas, insisted on joining her for the adoption. The last adoption went so beautifully that Lynn is now considered the family’s official adoption good‑luck charm. It’s a bit like the baseball superstition of not changing your socks between games… except we can’t expect Kamrin and Joseph to wait another ten years.

Honey’s new name will be Penelope “Penny,” and she has landed in a home that will love her forever.

Happy life, Penny!
