Lone Star Dog Ranch & Dog Ranch Rescue The Lone Star Dog Ranch is a one of a kind cage free boarding facility 30 minutes north of Dallas in Anna, Texas. The rescue's website is dogranchrescue.com

Here dogs are free to play, swim, sleep, and be loved as they wish, all day. There are many things about Lone Star Dog Ranch that make it
unique and better than any other daycare or boarding facility. We are truly one of a kind. We are a completely social facility. The only time your dog will be confined is for meals and sleep. The rest of their time is theirs to enjoy themselves while you are away enjoying yourself. Dogs are free to swim, play with other dogs, lay under a shade tree, sleep on the couch in the air conditioning or go back to bed and be alone if they want. They can choose to go inside the ranch building or outside anytime they want. We are an all inclusive facility. We don’t charge any extra for playtime, extra hugs, one on one time, swimming, laptime, special food, medication or any other special requirement. Everything is included in the boarding and day care rates. All dogs that stay with us must pass our evaluation to ensure that they can get along with everyone. For this reason we also require that all dogs be spayed or neutered

Lone Star Dog Ranch is family owned and operated and all of us live on the property. The dogs are never left unattended. The care here is unmatched anywhere. Dog Ranch Rescue is a completely separate entity from Lone Star Dog Ranch. It began in 2015 and The Village Sanctuary building housing the rescues is on the same 32 acres. All inquiries about rescue dogs is handled by email at [email protected] and the website for the rescue is dogranchrescue.com. Please don’t call Lone Star Dog Ranch for questions about the rescue, you will be sent to the email address above to correspond with any questions about Dog Ranch Rescue.

The first of the 7 puppies born yesterday was Jenn’s 500th foster in the past 10 years. Can you believe that?

What a gift she has been to so many dogs and their lives. We thank Jenn for all her hard work and service for Dog Ranch Rescue.

Good night everyone.

I never cease to be amazed how a dog like this is found wandering along a major highway and no owner claims her.

Sigh.

Off to the vet she goes, we will take care of all things she may need.

Welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue Nellie

Leeds has a home — finally and joyfully. We’ve all been rooting for this sweet boy, knowing how hard meet & greets have been for him. His nerves always got the best of him, and it was tough for families to see past that. But Gregg and Jodi Sadowski walked into the Sanctuary already understanding who Leeds was and what he needed.

Jodi works from home and Gregg owns his own business, giving them the flexibility to help Leeds grow into the dog he’s meant to be. When Leeds met them — and their two Frenchies, Milli and Bugsy — he stayed nervous, but the dogs handled it beautifully. Milli gave him a polite sniff, and Bugsy didn’t mind him one bit, which is exactly the kind of calm energy he needed. With confident little Milli leading the pack, Leeds will have a wonderful guide to help him come out of his shell.

His new name will be Roscoe, and he’ll spend his long, happy life in Wylie, TX — far away from the puppy mill world he came from, and finally surrounded by love, patience, and family.

Happy life, Roscoe. Your new beginning is here.

We had a bit of a wildfire yesterday, Good Times went into labor, and she was absolutely huge, although her due date was estimated to be Saturday. Dr. Reno was out of town, so I called Dr. Spencer, who said to bring her over. All the pups looked viable on ultrasound, although some had worrisome heart rates. We opted to do a C-section and spay her at the same time. We have 7 teeny-tiny Boston Terrier pups, and Mama is doing well, has lots of milk, and all have survived overnight and are latching on to Mama.

I'll introduce them to you one by one later today. ☺️
