(2109)

Since 1896, the Humane Society of Huron Valley has existed to support the loving and responsible care of animals in our community. In 2009, we moved to a state-of-the-art building to further our mission. Please note: In order to protect the community conversation, we reserve the right to remove any comments and/or prevent any person from making comments on our page. To prevent confusion, any comment or post with information on donating to another organization or cause will be removed. We encourage you to share your thoughts and opinions on our page, but please be respectful. A comment will be deleted if it or the profile picture contains hate speech; profanity or vulgarity; personal attacks; spam comments such as those selling a product or the same comment posted repeatedly; and other comments that HSHV deems inappropriate. If the same comment is made by someone 3 or more times (excepting innocuous comments like "Shared"), the comment is considered spam, and that person will be prevented from making further comments on the HSHV page. Comments that are solely inflammatory (e.g., name calling or unrelated to the topic) will be deleted, and the commenter will be blocked from making further comments on our page. Thank you for your cooperation!

These animals are lost and have been brought to our shelter. Can you help us find their homes by sharing this post? See each photo caption for instructions on filing a lost report or claiming one of these animals.

Beware of scammers: while there may be fees associated when you claim your pet, HSHV will not call you and demand money in advance. You can pay any fees at the shelter when you pick up your pet.

Please Note: These animals are NOT currently up for adoption. To see animals who ARE ready to join your home today, visit hshv.org/adopt 🐾 Thank you!

📣 Looking for submissions! 🐶

The next Rescue Rivalry mini-challenge is here: Best Dressed Dog in UofM Gear! 🏈〽️💙

Do you have the most spirited pup? Show us! 🐾

📸 COMMENT BELOW with a photo of your dog rocking their best UofM gear!

The dog/photo chosen will represent Michigan and go head-to-head with the dog chosen by Columbus Dog Connection (representing OH State. Boooo. 🙄). The pups will then compete for votes, glory, and ultimate bragging rights for their team! 🏆🐶

⏰ Entries must be submitted by this Friday (10/16) at 9 AM!

🚨 ALSO! HSHV is currently trailing the Buckeyes in the fundraising competition by about $700! 😱 Help HSHV catch up and defeat those Buckeyes by donating here: https://www.facebook.com/donate/2363525881121579/

About Rescue Rivalry: It’s a fundraiser like we’ve never seen before! HSHV is going head-to-head with Columbus Dog Connection. While the OH State and MI teams take their rivalry to the field, we’re launching rival fundraisers! The contest ends with the MI/OH game on November 28th – who can raise the most for the animals this season??

Emri sends tail wags to one of our top Compassionate Feast sponsors, Plymouth Dentistry 🐾

This 1 year old ball of energy was found wandering on her own, but is ready to give a lifetime of love to her new family. We're helping her find it, thanks to all the support we get from our amazing community -- including local businesses like this one! Plymouth Dentistry is sponsoring our event for a 4th year in a row, and is an office full of animal lovers. Give them a peek if you're looking for a new neighborhood dentist!

Psst... PUPDATE: Emri went home today! Congratulations to this beautiful, smart girl!
